Landmark Preservation Commission Minutes
3:00 p.m., April 17, 2012
Town Hall Annex Executive Board Room

Jim Grathwohl, James Garretson, Larry Jungblut, Donald Feiler, Gary Parker, Damon
Rallis.
Call to Order & Approval of Minutes:
Meeting was called to order and minutes from the March 20, 2012 meeting passed unanimously.
Chairman’s Comments
Jim Grathwohl announced that the town board had reappointed him to another term to the
Landmark Preservation Commission and that he would continue in his role as chairman. He also
announced that Don Feiler was reappointed to another term as well.
Old Business:
Damon gave Commissioners an update on the progress of LPC intern Mark Tweedie and
announced that Mr. Tweedie would be in attendance at the next regular meeting to give
commissioners an overview of the work he had done so far.
Damon announced to commissioners that the proposed handicap ramp project at 1240 Village
Lane in Orient had been abandoned for now.
Damon also gave commissioners an update on the awards program letters, announced that an
administrative permit had been issued for the project at 29215 Main Road, Orient and that a certificate
of appropriateness had been issued for the Fowler project.
New Business:
The Commission met with Tom Mulligan, the contractor and applicant associated with the
McIntosh application for alterations to a home at 560 Village Lane, in Orient. Commissioners
agreed to issue an administrative permit for the project, as proposed, with one change – that the
clapboard and shingles be replaced in kind.
