Chairman’s Comments –
Jim Grathwohl gave the commissioners an update regarding the 2011 draft budget proposal for the
commission and stated that the budget would be the same as it was in 2010.
Old Business –
Jim gave an update on the status Helen Keller house.
With respect to proposed alterations to the Rose property, in Orient, Damon told the group that no
official application had been made to the commission. He shared a memo, written on behalf of the
commission, in response to the ZBA’s call for comments. Because no application had been
submitted to the commission, the memo stated that the commission was not inclined to make any
comments at this time.
New Business –
Jim Grathwohl and Jim Garretson brought the commission up to speed on the Stein property in East
Marion and the Oysterponds Historical Society’s planned acquisition of the property.
Damon discussed recent conversation with Blake Goble, architect on the Payton/Fowler job in
Orient. There is an active application with the commission, but the project has been on hold for a
year. Mr. Goble plans on reviving the project in the near future.
Next Meeting – December 21, 2010 at 3 p.m. in the town hall annex.
