Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate of
Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings on the above
captioned premises. I picked up keys from the Russell F. Silleck
real estate office and began this inspection at approximately 2:45 P.M.
The dwelling is a two story wood framed structure constructed on
wood posts. F±rst floor contains a living roomwith fireplace, kitchen
and a front entry hallway. Entries are protected by screened enclosed
porches on front and rear of building. Second floor has three bedrooms,
a full bathroom off hallway and a walk in closet. Hot water is furnished
to plumbing fixtures from a gas fired hotwater heater located in enclosure
off rear porch. Electric water pump is located in partial cellar con-
structed under corner of building in rear accessible by exterior entry.
Accessory structures in rear yard area are two wood framed storage
buildings. These buildings were padlocked and inspection of interior
was not possible.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code
of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found:
Heat-no central heating system for occupancy between the 15th
a~-of September and 31st day of May of following year. Article
V, Section 52-53 A.1.
Gas cooking range-no shut off valve at unit. Article V, Section
52-52 B.2.
Bathroom -wood floor, no moisture resistant floor covering. Article
II, Section 52-26 A.4.
Inspection completed at approximately 3:00 P.M. and k~ys were

A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building
Inspector with~the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property line. s, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disPosal--(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey.of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Swam statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
C. Fees: 1. Certificate of occupancy $5.00
2. Certificate of occupancy on pre-existing dwelling or land use $5.00
3. Copy of certificate of occupancy $1.00
