BEDELL Unoccupied R-1 Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department I made inspection of this two story framed dwelling and found the following violations of Chapter 52, Housing Code, Town of Southold: I was admitted to the building by Mrs. Eckert who accompanied me during inspection which began at approxi- mately 9:15 A.M. On entering the building an odor of gas was noticeable. With the approval of Mrs. Eckert, who left to pick up a pair of pliers at her home, I turned off the shutoff valve at the kitchen gas range and house main valve in the cellar. The first floor consists of a kitchen, breakfast eating area, half bath off hallway, dining room, living room and sun parlor. The second floor has three bedrooms and one full bathroom off hallway. All rooms are heated from oil fired hot water furnace in cellar. Cellar: Open electrical junction box on girder to right of stair. Article V, Sec. 52-56 A-1. Open junction box fastened to the one remain- ing furnace cabinet side - Article V, Sec. 52-56 A-1. Furnace cabinet disassembled leaving furnace equipment unprotected against damage - Article I, Sec. 52-15 (State Building Construction Code) - Part 5 - Sec. 501 - H. Accessory Building - two car garage door frame and trim rotted at lower left side, exterior. Article III, Sec. 52-30 C. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
