6. Notes: -Exquisite, archetypal example of mid-nineteenth century “Flat-Roof”
House with classic bracket decoration and paired round topped windows under
widely overhanging eaves. Although, original survey was mistaken in calling
these flat roofs; Italianate style employed only very low hipped roofs that
appear flat from the ground surface, aerial imagery confirms that these were
not flat but low pyramidal forms. House contributes significantly to historic
landscape and viewshed of Oregon Road.
