6. Notes: -This exquisite National Register building was built by master
architect Andrew Gildersleeve. An early example of the short-lived tradition
of octagonal houses (1850-1870), making this an extremely rare building that
contributes very significantly to the historic landscape and viewshed of
downtown Mattituck. Currently the building is occupied by a store called the
“North Fork Saddlery.”
