Baylis Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department I made inspection of this one story framed dwelling with finished attic and found the following violations of Chapter ~52. Housing Code, Town of Southold. I was admitted to front entry by Mr. Baylis who accompanied me during m~-inspection which begam at approximately t~%O A.M. Living Room- entrance-no switch to control light in room on entry. Section 52-26 B.2. ~ lamp cord outlet wire running from base outlet stapled around edge of doorway casing. Section 52-26 A.1. Dining Room- lamp cord outlet from base outlet stapled on edge of doorway casing. Section 52-26 A.1. ~tchen- gas range-no shut off valve at unit-Section ---~-~B.2. ~econd Floor-Stairway to finished attic-no means of control- ing light for safe ascent or descent. Section 52-26 ~2. Attic- finished-being used as sleeping quarters-does not meet requirements of Southold Town Zoning Ordinance- floor area livable. Chapter 100, Article I, Sec. 1OO-13. ~- rear of building-lamp cord plugged into outside upplying current to ft~od lamp on North West corner of building-Section 52-26 A.1. Chimney for gas hot water heate~ located in cellar~ runs through foundation wall e~d terminates fourteen (1~) inches above ground level-subject to blecking -Sec. 52-53-E.3. completed at approximately ll-~lO A.M. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, end unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in- formation required to prepare a certificate. C. Fees: 1. Certificate of occupancy $5.00 2. That the said premises had been owned by Elizabeth Hansen since April 2, 1937 and had been used end occupied as a one-family dwelling since that time.
