Original structure was lextendedin the rear (north), probably in the 1.930 "s,
to accommodate the present kitchen and dining/sitting room, Present owner
added siding and blown-in insulation and extended screened-in porch on east side.

One of a number of neighboring residences , m~st of which probably date from
the nineteenth century, modest farmho~ses along the Main Road.

The original structure was a clapboard three-quarters Cape Cod cottage,
extended in the rear in the 1930's. Narrow front door characteristic of Greek ReviVal.
Pit-sawn beam in the cellar; mortise and tenon beams with wooden pegs in the
attic. Floorboards in original part of building are of random width. Change
in baseboard molding on west wall indicates some structural changes may
have been made. There is a hinged riser unde.r the second tread of stairs

Little of history is known. Brumonds purc~sed house in September 1981 from
Fishers. Barbara O'Brien, originally a Fisher, has more info but has moved
away(Mrs. Brumond has her present address).
