OTHER 'NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known) : Large wooden church with gable roof, gable end to th-e street, flanked by 2 square towers , one higher than :,­ the other. Both have louvered arched openings in the belfry and pyramidal spires. On west tower sweeping shingled roof protects the main entrance. Note pulley wheel and endless chain fo r revolving the cap. 57 East Marion Windmill in 1880 . The EaSt Marion Windmill on Long Island's North Fork had four floors and an ogee cap. An art icle in Harpers New Monchly Ma gazi ne for 187 8 states that this miil was built "around 1800 ."
