5. Evidence of Structural Modifications (if any):
-Minor, screen doors removed to show what seem like original doors, and
decorative elements of Italianate style added to porch supports.
6. Notes:
-Early, archetypal example of mid-nineteenth century “Flat-Roof” House with
classic bracket decoration under widely overhanging eaves. Although, original
survey was mistaken in calling these flat roofs; Italianate style employed
only very low hipped roofs that appear flat from the ground surface, aerial
imagery confirms that these were not flat but low pyramidal forms.
