6. Notes: -Considered to be one of the most significant architectural
landmarks on the North Fork. Excellent example of late Georgian tradition
gambrel-roof house containing gable roofed dormers and window sashes with
interlocking muntins that reflect the following Federal, or Adam, tradition of
architecture. Multiple views are shown below due to significance of house and
general area; as original survey form notes this part of Cutchogue as being
called “Blubber Row,” named so for the number of retired ship captains.
