Present: Herb Adler, Jr., Walter Jackson, Cork Maul, Joan H. Bischoff, Nick Planamento, Bob G.hosio
Cork: Called Aileen Boy Scout Master about Mile Marker Day and gave Carol bill for Academy Printing.
Herb: Upset with town about book the price is good.
Cork: Geoff maybe he can get quote on line. Book is &x 10128 Pages 4 Cover Pages and text stock. 300
Copies but couldn't get price at meeting on phone.
Cork: Douglas Moore concert on Southold Historical Society and maybe not charge for Insurance?
Herb: Will ask.
Cork: If you have insurance do we have to supply it?
Walter: I think it's legal.
Herb: You are coming in as an organization.
Cork: If you had a meeting of the Board do they decide?
Herb: No, I have to ask Insurance Company.
Cork: 1" night —Town used to pay then village wanted organizations to get insurance over Five
thousand Dollars.
Herb: I will look at insurance.
Cork: I asked Cutchogue/New Suffolk and they said no to concert on their grounds.
Herb: Read Letter from Ruthanne.
Nick: Discussed her letter.
Cork: Mile Marker Day is in very good shape. Need three volunteers — two at the beginning and one at
the end. Sent out WLNG announcement and good feedback about the event.
Walter: Article in calendar section this and next week Suffolk Times.
Cork: Need some ideas not print but other ways.
Joan: Send info to schools.
Cork: Made suitcase to Greenport and Oysterponds, Southold Mothers Club & Boy Scouts. Will have
actors and Musicians and would like someone at every mile marker.
Nick I put something on Facebook and will resend it.
Cork: I will send Abigail some photos.
Nick: Mark was concerned about you needing help.
Cork: Three volunteers and get the word out on air. Word of mouth is the best. I will ask cost of
Thursday and Friday for WLNG>
Nick: Outside of expenses.
Cork: We have $1500.00 in budget spent $500.00. Deanna handles Southold Historical Society's WLNG
acct. Please spread the word about the event. Red ribbons for stones. The fun is the hunt for them.
Joan: Ask Cross Sound Ferry to do a blast with their E-mail contacts.
Herb: No ROTC for help.
Cork: Dan McCarthy will have no car, phone or bathroom.
Herb: I will volunteer.
Walter Me too.
Mark was thinking of yard signs (gave copy of signs). Town doesn't allow them. Can order 10 signs from
Academy. Double Sided 18 x 24 like real Estate Signs with frames. Walter will check price for signs at Ink
Spot.
Herb: Libraries have come up with their own signs.
Nick: We need estimate at Ink spot.
Cork — Good Idea for signs.
Nick: send note to Ruthanne on letter head wishing her well.
Nick: Website will be resolved.
Herb: I talked to Bill Duffy and invoice is on his desk.
Joan Website can only go by What they are given. And then more info was given and invoice was sent.
Abigail looked at website.
Herb: Spoke to Bill Duffy (Town Attorney) about book and sent e-mail about it.
Joan: pay only $750.00 for website and no charge for shopping cart.
Cork: $750.00 was our understanding for the website. Include info for committee. Any changes should
be made not happy with that. Do you have any understanding with them?
Joan: We sent out many e-mails.
Nick: I agree with Cork it must be updated.
Joan: Old data out and update.
Cork: Website more important than TV.
Herb: I don't understand website and I am getting questions about it.
Nick: Visual Native 90% done —visit website.
Herb: Couldn't find it.
Joan: $125 per hour to update leave to North Fork Promotional Council, they work with us.
Nick: Let's leave it for now.
Joan: Face book page is nice
Cork: Saw it and liked it.
Nick: Let webmaster know about Mile Marker Day
Bob: Saw Mile Marker on website and shops that have mugs.
Nick: Mark terry will pick up stack.
Joan: Check out website and Facebook.
Herb: Will contact Peter McGreevy about Regatta.
Bob: Where is it starting and finishing in Orient and then party.
Nick: CSEA for Candy for Parade —Town not allowed throwing candy. Mark to give out candy @ parade.
Need authorization from committee. Maybe candy bars with logo for CSEA union.
Herb: Would have to say yes.
Bob: Don't see anything wrong with it.
Cork: Problem with school program. New Suffolk has never responded for digital story telling. Too late
for them. David Gamberg would give a date ask Ann in Mattituck school. Has never answered e-mail,
maybe just town board meeting. Suggestion made we take each school at Town Board Meeting. Who
do we arrange it with?
Bob: I can organize that. Half hour out of Town Board Meeting.
Cork Maybe out in hall with goodness.
Bob: 2nd meeting in June.
Cork: Thank you everyone.
Herb: Anything else.
Walter: East End Quilt is finished.
Bob: Will they present it to the town Board.
Walter: That is a though.
Next meeting June 17th
