a critical need exists for afterschool Youth Center. The Southold Youth Bureau
was asked to articulate what elements would ideally exist within a center. Below

Program would exist in Town asset such as Recreation Center
Program should provide tutoring, counseling, recreational activities,
mentoring
Must provide transportation—Ryan will speak with Superintendent
Gamberg to see if schools could provide busses
Could offer with a sliding scale fee
Need to determine what ages it would serve
Consider issuing survey to students to see if they would attend and what
activities would they like to have (also consider survey for parents)
