Comments on Minutes of Previous (April 11, 2003) Meeting No comments on the April 11, 2003, Progress Meeting minutes. Status of Installation of Replacement Water Supply Well Jim Bunchuck stated that the water supply well is scheduled to be installed in late Status of Construction on 17 -acre Parcel Bob Terry stated that the pad will be completed on April 17 and the plantings will begin on April 22. Status of Completion and Testing of Gas Monitoring Wells / ce and Completion of Groundwater Monitoring._ Wells Tom Maher stated that the gas monitoring wells and groundwater monitoring wells still have not been completed. Bob Terry stated that he will meet with Casola on April 18 to discuss completion of the wells. Tom reported that the gas wells were monitored on April 14 and all wells were non detect except for well #6 which was 37% LEL. 01314/r0429301(R01) 1 5. Status of New Access Road to Cox Lane 41 Jim Bunchuck stated that the property transfer has not been completed. 6. Costs for Additional Surveys Tom Maher and Bob Terry agreed that the cost of the additional surveys will be $58,943.90. Tom and Bob also agreed to final payment for the geomembrane in the amount of $888,841.16 (171,901 sy). 7. Protection of Erosion Control Blanket Bob Terry stated that the erosion control blanket was being installed where new topsoil was being placed. 8. Replacement of Concrete Blocks Along Road to 17 -Acre Parcel Bob Terry stated that the concrete blocks will begin to be delivered on April 17. Tom Maher stated that the damaged blocks that have been installed along the road to the Compost Facility will need to be replaced, to which Bob Terry agreed. 9. Easement Termination`'4'c Jim Bunchuck stated that the easements will be terminated at the end of April. 10. Retaining Wall/Easement Along McBride Property/Relocation of Road Bob Terry stated that the road will be relocated in early to mid May. 01314/ O429301(ROl) 0) Ifl 11. Grading of Transition Areas Bob Terry stated that all transition grading was essentially complete and final grading will be performed when the topsoil is placed in the transition areas. 12. Proposal for Swing Gates Bob Terry stated that he provided the proposal for the swing gates to Jim Bunchuck. 13. Removal of Fluller Material Jim Bunchuck stated that he will notify Fluger to remove his material, if required. 14. Town Power Requirements Bob Terry stated that the proposal from Ocean Electric to provide additional power to the Compost Facility is in the process of being prepared. 15. Alternate Headwall for Recharge Basin No. 3. Bob Terry stated that the headwall for Recharge Basin No. 3 has been constructed as designed by D&B. Tom Maher stated that the wall was not constructed entirely as designed regarding installation of rebar, which may affect payment if the wall cracks. Bob also stated that Recharge Basin No. 3 will be completed in late May and that Recharge Basins No. 1 and 2 will be completed in the third week in May. 16. Manufacture of Topsoil Bob Terry stated that the manufacture of the topsoil is continuing and he hopes that it will be completed by April 18. 0 1314/r0429301(RO1) 3 in 17. Completion of Submittals Tom Maher stated that all submittals and revised submittals have not been completed, which Bob Terry acknowledged. Tom stated that the incomplete submittals will delay review and approval of the next payment application. 18. Completion of Remaining Work Bob Terry stated that for the remainder of this week and next week, only topsoil will be manufactured and placed, together with seeding and installation of the erosion control blanket. Tom Maher stated that a large area has greater than 6 inches of topsoil and that the thickness will need to be adjusted to achieve the contract requirement of 6 inches. Tom also stated that a portion of the seeding on the top of the middle hill and middle swale on the east side of the landfill was broadcast mechanically, which is not in accordance with the contract documents and that it will need to be reseeded using the hydroseeding method. Bob stated that he will not reseed these areas, to which Tom stated that payment will not be made for seeding in an inappropriate and unapproved manner. Tom also stated that the hydroseeding was being performed without the use of mulch to which Bob stated that -he received prior approval to ' eliminate the mulch. Tom stated that he does not recall receiving a request from Bob to eliminate mulch. Bob stated that he will check his records. 19.
