Terry MINUTES OF MAY 2, 2003 PROGRESS MEETING Affiliation Town of Southold Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers Terry Contracting & Materials, Inc. 1. Comments on Minutes of Previous (April 16, 2003) Meeting There were no comments on the April 16, 2003, Progress Meeting minutes. 2. Status of Installation of Replacement Water Suppler Jim Bunchuck stated that the water supply well is scheduled to be installed in late May. 3. Status of Construction on 17 -acre Parcel Bob Terry stated that the pad is to be completed today and the gates will be installed within the next few weeks. 4. Status of Completion and Testing of Gas Monitoring Wells and Completion of Groundwater Monitoring Wells Tom Maher reported that one gas monitoring well sampling needs to be completed with a J -plug and the groundwater monitoring wells still need vented caps. Tom Maher stated that two gas monitoring wells (#5 and #6) along the southern boundary of the cap east of the main access road had elevated LEL readings (74% and >99%), respectively. As a result, Tom suggested to Jim Bunchuck that gas monitors with 0 1314/r0509301(RO1) 1 alarms be installed in the collection center building and scale house, and that additional gas control migration trench vents with ^turbines be installed along the southeast boundary. 5. Status of New Access Road to Cox Lane Jim Bunchuck reported that the land swap has been completed with Corrazini. 6. Replacement of Concrete Blocks Along Road to 17 -Acre Parcel Bob Terry stated that replacement of the concrete blocks is in progress. Damaged blocks are being replaced. 7. Easement Termination Jim Bunchuck stated that the construction easements will be terminated at the end of May. 8. Retaining Wall/Easement Along McBride Property/Relocation of Road Bob Terry stated that the road will be relocated next week. 9. Grading of Transition Areas Bob Terry stated that the fmal transition grading will be complete during the second week in May. 10. Removal of Fluger Material Jim Bunchuck stated that he will speak with Fluger about the need to remove his materials. 0 1314/r0509301(RO1) 2 11. Town Power Requirements Bob Terry stated that the cost proposal has been provided to the Town and the work will be performed at the end of May. 12. Manufacture of Topsoil Bob Terry stated that placement of topsoil on the cap will be completed next week and the transition areas will be completed during the second week in May. _ 13. Fencing Bob Terry stated that the fencing will be completed by the end of May. 14. Completion of Submittals Bob Terry acknowledged that he still needs to complete the project submittals. Tom Maher stated that he will provide Bob with another letter documenting the outstanding submittals. 15. Completion of Remaining See above items. Bob Terry restated that ail work will be completed by the end of May. Tom Maher stated that he, Bob and Jim Bunchuck will conduct a walkover during the third week in May and prepare a "punch list." Bob stated that all punch list items will be completed during the last week in May. 16. Completion of Recharge Basins Bob Terry stated that Recharge Basins No. 1 and 2 will be completed during the second week in May and Recharge Basin No. 3 will be completed at the end of May. 0 1314/r0509301(ROl) 3 17. Wildflower Seed Jim Bunchuck stated that the Town will purchase the wildflower seed to be planted on the southeastern hill. 18. Paving Bob Terry stated that final pavilig'will be performed during the third week in May. 19. Change Order No. 13 Bob Terry stated that he still needs to review this change order. Tom Maher restated that review of the next payment application will not occur until this change order is signed 0 1314/T0509301(ROl) 4
