Terry Contracting & Materials, Inc. 1- Minutes of Previous (August 15, 22 and 30, 2002) Meetings Q Op3; 008 Bob Terry read the minutes of the August 15 and 22 meetings and had no comments, but said he has not read the August 30 meeting minutes. There were no. comments from Anyone else. 2. Status of Submittals Torn Maher said that Bob Terry should receive D&B's approval on the fencing submittal, but lie still needs a submission by Terry for a credit on the elimination of the privacy slats. Tian Howell said his is waiting for D&B's response on his submittal for the grass seed mix. 3. latus of Sand Screening and Testing ;Bob Terry said they stopped screening sand as of September 4, 2002, and the power screener has been moved to the Borrow Pit to manufacture topsoil (vegetative growth mix). It remains to be seen if the current stockpile of screened sand is adequate for the remaining GVL and BPL necessary for completion of closure construction. t;i3141r0906201(R01) 1 09/09/2002 MOIL 12:54 FAX 1@004/008 4. Status of Soil Test Results and Resolution of Three Oras Vent Layer Samples Jim Mulligan has called peter Sutherland (Tectonic Engineering) twice regarding resolution of the three gas vent layer samples, but Peter has been on vacation. Jim said he will call again shortly.. 5. Discussion with Ed Wankel Regarding Seed Mixture, Including Wildflower Mix Along Southern Area of Landfill Jim Bunchuck said that he wants the wildflower seed to he planted on the southern portion of the east half of the landfill. All agreed that the wildflower seed would be, applied in an area running approximately 100 feet north of the southernmost swale and 500 feet east -west on the east side of the landfill. The wildflower seeds will be in addition to the rye/fescue seed mix. This area is satisfactory to Ed Wankel based on Jim Mulligan's telephone conversation with Ed. 5. Daily Schedule of Work for Next 2 Weeks Tim Howell will have next week's work schedule worked up by tomorrow. 7_ Status of C".onstniction on 17 -Acre Parcel Jamie Richter presented an autocad plan showing details regarding the site grading, drainage and road work. This plan was then reviewed and additional details were added based on agreement reached among Jamie, Bob Terry and Tom Maher. Jamie is to electronically forward the revised plan to Terry's surveyor, McLean Associates, so that critical items, including catch basins and road construction, can be staked by McLean before Terry begins work. Bob Terry estimated that the work would take about three weeks from the time that McLean sets the stakes and he, has the drainage pipe on-site. All agreed that expansion of the existing RCA pad is critical so that the Town has working room for the handling of the fall brush and leaves and that it will be completed the end of September. Alternate Barrier Along Perm anent Road Q 005!0018 Although many consider the concrete .blocks now in place along the pennarient .road not to be. the most pleasant visually, no one was able to present a low cost alternate. Jim Bunchuck would like to see rumple strips or speed bumps and signs installed in the roadway to control the speed of vehicles. Rumple strips were thought best by most people and Bob Terry said this could be worked into the final surface course of asphalt still to be applied or applied after completion of the roadway. Jim said that the concrete blacks should remain along the shoulders of the road. 9.. Status of Completion and Testing of Gas Monitoring Wells Along Southwestern Boundary Jinn Mulligan reported that he and Tim Howell had tested the four monitoring wells this morning and all tested negative. 10. Prnnosal for Planting; Along Southern Boundary Bob Terry said he will have the planting proposal prepared by Monday, September 9, 2002. 11, abandonment of Bxisting_l,andfill Well Tire Howell said they still must cut the steel casing and fill with concrete, 12. Status of Revised Construction Schedule Tim Howell said they are ahead of schedule in applying the contour grading material, but behind schedule on seeding. 13. Schedule for Installation of Vinyl Coated Fence Alona Boundary of Residential Area 4 c„3�arra9a�zaitaal> 3 09/09/2002 MOI^' 12:55 FAX Bob Terry said this work will be performed next week. 14. Price for Construction of Asphalt Curb Along Permanent Road Bob Terry said he still has to get a price from P.J. Corazini. 15. Establish Work Area Along Southeast Boundary of Landfill 2006/008 Bob Terry said they will need a 40 -foot width of area and he will work with Jim Bunchuck in seeing that both his workers and the Town's workers utilize this area cooperatively. Using this area is a problem since this is where the public is dropping off their brush. Bob Terry suggested that the brush could be dropped off by the new access road Corazini is to convey to the Town, assuming the legal wort: is complete. 16. Metes and Bounds for New Access Road Jim Bunchuck said he will call the Town Attorney to find out the status of this issue and will get the metes and bounds if available. If the legal work is completed, this access road could then be cleared to some extent and thereby provide room for the drop -oto' of brush by the public. 17. Other - Recharae Basin No. 3 The cost to construct Recbarge Basin No. 3 must be resolved by Bob Terry and Tom Maher. - MBElWBE Utilization RZQort Bob Terry will provide a copy of his latest report to Jim Bunchuck for the Town to submit to the Mate. 0 1314iTO906201;R01) 4 09/09/2002 MON 12:56 FAX Haulingof Gravel Off --site 1@ 007/008 Jim Bunchuck was under the impression that the lamer gravel (>1'/z"), from the sand screening on the 17 -acre parcel, was to be used as needed for the landfill project, but that any excess gravel would be the Town's property. The minutes of the previous meetings in September and October 2001, indicate that all gravel from the screening coperation is the property of Terry. Based on this, Jim Bunchuck agreed that Terry cim remove the gravel from the site as they scc fit. 01314,70906201(ROI) 5
