No comments by anyone.
2. Status of Submittals
D&B owes a response to Terry on their landscaping proposal. Bob Terry will make a
submittal on using either Curlex I or II for erosion control on the east half of the landfill, together
with credits to the Town for use of the substitution. Toni Matter said he is inclined to go with
Curlex 11 at the moment.
3. Status of Sated Screening. Topsoil Manufacture and Testin
Bob Terry said they will resume screening sand on the 17 -acre parcel shortly for use as
BPL on the landfill. Torn Maher said he will put together a change order which will reflect a
charge to the landfill project of $113,150 for screening 31,000 cy of sand at a unit price of
$3.65/cy. Torn asked Bob to submit a proposal for providing approximately 10,000 cy of off-site
topsoil necessary to complete the cap. Tom said the 17,000 cy of material from the Navy .job at
Calverton had one sample show an organic content of about 5.5 percent, but that all of the

chemical analyses must be received before a decision can be made on its possible usa on the
Iandfill project. Tom said lie will be looking at the Calverton material this Monday and has been
in contact with NYSDEC regarding its use.
4. Status of Soil Test Results and ]Resolution of Three Crag Vent La er Samples
Jim Mulligan said that Lori Bart of Tectonic had called to say that there is no need to
collect three more gas vent layer samples. Tint Howell said that because he had taken all of his
GVL and BPL samples based on truck count and the specifications require the samples to be
collected based on "in-place" volume, they are shy about 18 samples each on both the GVL and
BPL. Tom .Maher asked Jim Mulligan to discuss this with Tectonic, but is not overly concerned
given the total number of samples collected thus far and that the material is from the same source
processed in the carne manner and is fairly uniform.
5. Status of Installation of Replacement of Water $0ly Well
Jim Bunchuck said he talked to Doug Picka of NYSDEC who indicated that the permit
application he now has probably would be approved although this will be in a few weeks. Jim is
not aware whether the Fire Department has gone out to bid to secure a contractor to do the job.
6. Daily Schedule of Wort: for Next_ Week
Tim Howell distributed next week's work schedule. Tom Maher reviewed the schedule
a.nd discussed the entire construction schedule with Bob and Tim. The liner will be installed
from September 30 to October 18; BPL will be applied from October 7 to October 21; topsoil
will be applied from October 14 to October 28. Since Jim Mulligan's last day on the site will be
Octobor 11, 2002, Tom said that he and Frank DeVita probably will cover the construction
oversight. Discussion then took place regarding what oonstitutes "Substantial Completion of
Work." Bob Terry said that the construction of Recharge Basin No. 3 may be delayed after
November 1, 2002, (the date for Substantial Completion of Work) because the Town's wood
chips are in the way. Tom asked Jim Bunchuck to have either the Town or Bob Terry inove the

17-acr(.- parcel. Tim Bunchuck ordered Bob Terry to stop work after the close of work today
since he wants to review the costs incurred to date and compare that to his balance in the budget.
Jim said he is preparing several options for the Town Supervisor, Josh Horton, on the costs to
complete work on the compost facility. The Town Board will he considering whether an
additional bond authorization is to be made in order to provide funding for the remaining work
on the 17 -acre parcel.
