No news regarding the transfer of the property, to the Town.
13. Maintenance of the Borrow Pit Perimeter Road and 07ading of the Cut Areas
.Maintenali= of the perimeter road will be addressed during November, together with the
replacement of sand along the McBride property. Overall grading of the Borrow Area will be
addressed after completion of the cap.
14. Privacy Slats Along New Access Road to Cox Lane
This work will be addressed after the Town takes title to the property.
15. Topsoil to Complete the Project
It is estimated that approximately 15,000 cy of topsoil is required to complete the cap and
recharge basins. Since the 3 parts L.I. Compost topsoil, 7 parts IQ=. /arsenic soil and I paxt sand
resulted in an organic content of 9.4% and pH of 7.6, the topsoil for the cap and recharge basin
will be manufactured using this L.I. Compost topsoil. The cost will be 7,500 cy x $15/cy
delivered to the landfill = $112,500. The topsoil will be mixed by Bob Terry in the Borrow Pit
and placed on the landfall at the contract price of $7.00/cy. The main access road and road down
to the Borrow Pit will need to be completed with RCA to get the L.T. Compost topsoil into the

Borrow Pit for mixing. Since Bob feels that the road will be completed by November 1, 2002,
L.I. Compost can begin delivery on November 4.
Topsoil for the transition areas (approximately 4,000 ey) may be purchased from Bob at
$10/cy delivered. This topsoil will come from the theater construction projcet in Riverhead.
Bob said that he will collect three samples of this material today for organic content and pH
analyses. The cost of topsoil for the transition areas will be 4,000 Cy x $10/ey = $40,000 plus a
cost for installation. This rvvill be offset somewhat by the cost savings in not having to
manuf=acture this topsoil on-site ($7,00/cy).
16. Items to be_Coinvleted for Substantia] Cpmpletion
This will be addressed next week.
17. Other Items
Because of problems oceturing with the high speed of Bob Terry's trucks and the
generation of dust, it was reaffirmed that the tnmks must travel at a safe speed, in particular in
areas near Town workers and the public, Dust must be controlled by watering and the water
truck must be full at the start of each day ready to water the haul roads and the water must be
obtained off-site.
