1. Minutes of Previous (March 7, 2002) Meeting
Bob Terry said that he had no comments on either the March 1, 2002, or the
March 7, 2002, minutes.
2. Status of Aerial Photograph and Surveying by McLean
Tom Maher stated that he has received the topo survey from Geomaps. Jim
Bunchuck said he has not received the photograph. Tom asked Chris Morris to call
Geomaps to check on the status of the photograph and to have it sent to Jim. Chris said
he would do so. Bob Terry said he also would like a photograph. Tom asked Chris to
order three photographs from Geomaps.
3. Nonpotable Well — Redesign Construction Cost Estimate
and Submittal of Permit Application
Tim Howell provided the construction cost estimate to Tom Maher. Bob Terry
said he feels the cost is high ($105,000). Tom said Terry's initial estimate of $42,000
was significantly lower than D&B's estimate of $87,000, and the majority of the other

bidders' estimates. Tom Wickham asked if the cost increase is due to the requirements of
` the Fire Department. Tom Maher answered yes. Tom Wickham said the Fire
Department should be required to pay for the enhancements to the well. Jim Bunchuck
said he will contact the Fire Department. Tim provided Casola's requirements to obtain
the well permit to Tom Maher and Jim Bunchuck. Tim explained that Casola needs a
letter from the Town giving permission for him to drill the well on Town property and
authorization for him to apply for the permit on the Town's behalf.
4. West Half of Landfill — Status and Plan for Completion
Tom Maher asked Bob Terry the status of the west half of the landfill. Bob
replied that the stilling basin is in on the south end and the area is being graded. Bob
asked Tom if Tectonic needs to certify the subgrade prior to the installation of the final
6 inches of subgrade/contour grading material. Tom answered no and said Chris Morris
could inspect the area. Bob then said, in that case, the installation of the final 6 inches
possibly could begin tomorrow, and that the area would be ready for compaction testing
next week. Bob added that they presently have no source of water since the well pump in
the existing landfill well has been disconnected, and suggested using screened sand for
the final 6 inches to assist in compaction. Tom stated that would not be acceptable
because it would be at additional cost to the Town. Tom told Bob if he wanted to screen
the sand at no cost, then it may be acceptable. Tom told Bob that he should look into
finding another water source. Jim Bunchuck said there is a well on McBride's property,
but is unsure of whether or not he will allow Terry to use it. Tom Wickham said that he
could speak to McBride on the issue. Tom Maher then informed Bob that it is his
responsibility to provide water and suggested that he begin to think about a water source
should McBride say no. Bob replied that he could have expected that the new well would
have been installed by now, therefore alleviating the problem, and that the delays to the
construction of the new well were not caused by Terry. Tom Maher suggested that Bob
put his concerns in writing if he feels it is necessary.

5. Status of Submittals
Tom Maher said he believes all submittals are up to date.
6. Vegetative Cover Mix — Testing of Compost/
Sand Mixture by University of Massachusetts
Tom Maher asked Jim Bunchuck if he has received the results of the organic
content analysis of the soil mixture. Jim answered no.
7. Status of Sand Screening and Testing - Need and Schedule for
Screened 17 -Acre Material for Gas Venting Layer and Barrier
Protection Laver to Complete Western Portion of Landfill/Cab
Bob Terry said the screening process is ongoing.
8. Soil Test Results
Chris Morris said all testing is up to date.
9. Status of Backfill of Recharge Basin #4
and Construction of Eastern Drainage System
Bob Terry stated that they need to have a decision made on where the geogrid is
to be placed. Tim Howell said the area needs to be staked to determine at what elevation
they are before proceeding any further. Jim Bunchuck asked whether or not the area will
be usable if the Town puts containers in the area. Tom said yes providing the geogrid
was installed.
10. Status of Removing Loam from Stockpile and Glass Soil in Borrow Pit
Chris Morris said the work is 90% completed with only a few hundred yards of
material is remaining. Chris added that the work will continue when the backfilling

Recharge Basin #4 resumes. Tom Maher said he would like the work to be completed
shortly.
11. Status of Covering Liner on West Side
Chris Morris stated that the liner on the west side has been covered.
12. Status of Southwest Drainage System and Preparation of As -Built Drawings
Bob Terry said the drainage system installation is complete with some backfilling
still needed in the area. Tom Maher asked when the as -built will be finished. Bob
replied by the end of next week.
13. Need for Revised Subgrade Plan on East Side
and Schedule to Complete Subgrade
Tom Maher stated that a second revised subgrade plan on the east side will not be
needed, as the aerial survey from Geomaps indicated that 22,000 cubic yards of fill are
needed to reach the initial revised grades. Bob added that McLean's survey also reflected
a similar amount of fill needed to reach the existing grades (19,000 cy). Tom asked Bob
Terry when the subgrade will be complete on the east side. Bob replied, approximately
three to four weeks, but he would have a better idea on Monday after McLean restakes
the area. Tim Howell said that they will be waiting for the waste under the temporary
road to be removed, which will not happen for approximately one month , to complete
the east side, Bob said they could start the subgrade and leave room for the temporary
road waste. Tom asked when the permanent road will be ready for use. Bob responded
that once the liner is installed and destructive liner tests from the area are approved, road
construction can begin.

14. Other
Jim Bunchuck stated that the Town has decided against constructing a sound
barrier on the south end and suggested plantings in the area. Jim also said that he has
informed the Town Board that if they decide to go forward with a driving range, it will
have to be done after the landfill closure work is completed. Tom Maher added that he
sent the Town a letter confirming that the landfill closure will continue as originally
conceptually designed, independent of the driving range.
