Terry Contracting
Bob Terry pointed out that he did not ask for "an upfront payment" (Item #12 — August 2, 2001
Minutes), but rather an expedited approval of his first payment -application for work actually
performed. All agreed this is the case and no further comments were made on August 2, 2001
meeting minutes.
2. Status of Trailers
Noted that telephone service to the two trailers completed as of August 9, 2001. Electric service
at earliest on August 17, 2001, as per Bob Terry's conversation with LIPA. LIPA working on
emergency situations due to heat wave. Bob Terry pointed out that he could not get the trailers
hooked up with electric as per the specification requirements; since LIPA requires a site
inspection after the trailers are in place. Clearing the access route from Cox Lane was necessary
before the trailers could be sited. Jim Mulligan pointed out that other items required in the
specifications are to be delivered, including desks, coat rack, plan rack, computer, copy/fax
machine, refrigerator, coffee maker and janitorial service.
3. Fish Waste Disposal
It was confirmed by Dave Zuhoski that the fish waste was disposed in the center of the east half
of the landfill.
4. Temporary Fencing
The Town is still in midst of resolving encroachment by Corrazini on Town property by access
road, but temporary fencing is to be installed along here nonetheless, as well as on other side by
Fluger property. It was noted that (green) temporary fencing was being installed this date. Jim
Bunchuck requested a value for the privacy slats which will not be installed on the chain-link
fencing, since this would offset the cost of putting up the temporary fence along the access road.
The temporary fencing was installed today, August 9, 2001.

5. C&D Holding Area
The Town has temporarily stopped installing the concrete block wall by the new C&D holding
area until D&B reviews/redesigns the swale and redefines the cap limit in that area.
6. Temporary Brush Area on 17 -Acre Parcel
Jim Bunchuck reiterated the Town's need for a temporary area on the 17 -acre parcel to store
brush. Bob Terry will provide a cost estimate at the next progress meeting for installing a %Z -acre
area of 6"-12" RCA, 25' wide RCA road and temporary fence.
7. Relandfilling of MSW
Dave Glass indicated that D&B is not satisfied with the way Terry Contracting is relandfilling
the waste, specifically with regard to 2 -foot lifts and compaction. Although Bob Terry argues
that he is meeting the specifications, it was agreed by all that a compacter is needed and Bob
Terry indicated it would be on-site by Monday, August 13, 2001.
8. Dust Control
While Terry Contracting has improved on dust control, a number of problems still must be
resolved. Bob Terry indicated they would make the holes larger in the PVC pipe which will
allow for quicker water application. He also is looking into putting a 60 -kw generator in the
existing landfill well to fill the water tank. In additional, he still is trying to develop a solution for
dust control before resuming work on the 17 -acre parcel to remove the remaining loam.
9. Lines of Communication
D&B has asked that personnel from Terry Contracting to first work through Jim Mulligan before
contacting anyone else. However, Tim Howell will continue to work directly with Dave Glass on
submittals.
