No comments from anyone, 2. Detailed Schedule of Actiyaicsby Week through November 2001 Bob Terry agreed to submit the schedule shortly. 3. Price for Screening Sand Bob 'terry has ,submitted a price for screening the sand to Torn Maher, The screening machine is now on-site. Tom Maher asked Bob Terry to submit another price for screening sand assuming that the gravel from the screening process can be used for filling the gas venting trench. Bob agreed to do so. Bob said the Town Highway Department wants approximately 20,000 cy of screened sand and Tom said he estimates that 20,000-25,000 cy of screened sand is needed for the Barrier Protection Ldyer. Bob estimated that 2,700 cy of gravel is needed for the gas venting trench. It was agreed that 25,000 ey of sand should be screened initially which would yield 20,000 cy of screened sand and 5,000 cy of gravel (assuming Tom Maher approves price and acceptance of gravel for gas venting trench use). i. 0 131arr0924101(KO 1) 1 ,iu• rv.• rv•i �.vu 1i:. VV rnn W --j VVJ/ V V V 4. _,500 cXof Contaminated Soil Bob Teny has reached agreement with the Town (Jim Bunchuck) on the cost to do this work.His low hid of $110,000 covers the cost of excavation and hauling.the material, and 521;000 covers the cost to spread and compact the mawrial-on .01( landfill. Bob Terry indicated that it will take 6 to 10 work days to complete this work (work started September 19, 2001), - Bob .Terry indicated that some "heavy" material was transported .yesterday as part of the 6,500 cy and Tom Maher directed that any "heavy" material be disposed on the landfill near where the loam has been placed on the west half of the landfill, In this way, the number of gas vents'to be added would be rnfii zed. Toni Maher emphasized need to compact the backfill in 2 -foot lifts. - Cleaning up and clearing of land to the south of proposed Recharge Basin No. 4 will be paid under the "Clearing and Grubbing" payment item No. 3. Increaggd Elcyatign of West Half of Landfill Tom Maher said to spread out the waste over the entire westhalf of .the landfill (elevation will be above the revised subgrade plan, but keep the interior swales at the same elevation if Possible. Swale elevations around the perimeter of the west side of the landfill cannot be changed. 9. Design Status of Pernie.nent Road to 17 -Acre Parcel Tom Maher said the design should be finished by next wcck. He also indicated that the main (north -south) access road will change from asphalt to RCA. 10. Certification from Chinwigg fors memhraneilt32' F. Torn Maher said he wants a letter of certification from Chinango, which is the liner installer, stating that it is OK to install the liner at 32° F. Bob 'berry said he would take care of this. 11. Hold Off on Eastern Swale Redesi Tom Maher told Bob Terry not to do any work, including surveying, near the southern swale on the east half of the landfill that recently has been redesigned, since the design for the permanent road to the 17 -acre parcel may change the redesign of the Swale. 0 13141r0924101(ROt) 3 12. Time Extension Tom Maher will give a time extension to Terry Contracting due to unforeseen work regarding the extra work associated with Waste Excavation Area,.; 2 and 3, and pussibly for the' permanent road to the 17 -acre parcel. 14. Review of Patent Request Jim Mulligan said he had reviewed and approved Terry's second payment request. 15. Other Tom Maher requested that a letter be submitted from Bob Terry to him outlining (a) payment and quantities for Waste Excavation Area 2, and (b) measurement of the gas migration trench w be accomplished by field measurement in the presence of the Engineer rather than by survey. A signature block for Tom's approval signature will he provided in the tetter. Bob.
