This Department has been advised that under Permit #48-171, a Belgium block curb, not previously approved'
under the aforementioned permit has been installed. Since Belgium block curbing does not meet Suffolk
County Department of Public Works standards, you have two options to resolve this matter:
1. Remove the Belgium block curb and replace with 6" concrete curbing per SCDPW standards.
2. Submit covenants and restrictions, prepared by your legal counsel removing all liability associated
with the curb from Suffolk County. A sample C&R has been provided for reference.
Please notify this Department as to which option you will pursue.
