Hi Liz/Amanda,
The "Dryad's Basin lady, Southold, who is interested in planting a buffer should be forwarded these attachments, maybe
she could get a grant. I think it would be good if she worked directly with Mike to flag the WL boundary and get his
advice on plant species that are appropriate. If you could bring Mike up to speed next he is in office I would appreciate
it.
Ta n ks,
Jay

Hi John,
I am so glad you want to participate in our program. We have a $500 limit on rewards and that includes a combination
of rain barrels and plantings.
You will need to fill out an application, get approval from us, and then complete the project in order to receive this
funding. I have attached the brochure and application to this e-mail.
Thanks!

To the Board of Southold Town Trustees,
We have recently purchased the former Raymond J. Akscin property at 1800
Cedar Beach Rd in Southold (Tax lot number 1000-089.00-02.00-005.001 &
003.000). We have been longtime residents of 1695 Kenny's Road, Southold and we
have a deep appreciation of the natural beauty found on the North Folk and
especially the Town of Southold. With that in mind, we would like to replace several
tall dead bushes that are on the SE edge of our property with several evergreen
trees. We have attached the photo of the area labeled "Photograph 1".
We also would like to create a non -turf buffer up to 10' wide and approximately 25'
in length along the NE edge of the property. It would be planted with native
vegetation, so as to keep with the natural surroundings of the Dryad's Basin. We
have attached the photo of the area labeled "Photograph 2".
Should you have any questions, we are available to either meet with a person at the
property site or we can be reached at 631 757 5964/6318717087.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
George Nicholas Coritsidis
