Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 Telephone: 631 765-1938 LOCAL WATERFRONT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM TOWN OF SOUTHOLD MEMORANDUM John Bredemeyer, President Town of Southold Board of Trustees From: Mark Terry, Principal Planner LWRP Coordinator Date: January 13, 2015 Re: Proposed Wetland Permit for ADAM WILLETS SCTM# 1000-123-5-22 DKR Shores, Inc. on behalf of ADAM WILLETS requests a Wetland Permit to construct new 58' long bulkhead in-place of existing using vinyl sheathing; raise the bulkhead 15" higher to match the neighbor's bulkhead; construct new 15' long vinyl return; backfill disturbed area with +/-65 cubic yards clean fill; construct new 4'x6' beach access steps; and establish a 10' wide non -turf buffer along the landward edge of the bulkhead. Located: 4415 Camp Mineola Road, Mattituck. SCTM# 123-5-22 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the LWRP policies and therefore CONSISTENT with the LWRP. This recommendation is based on the following: 1. It is recommended that the non -turf buffer be vegetated with salt tolerant, native plant species. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
