Attended forum, attendance 23 participants.  Discussion with Initiative for the Community Land Trust of Southold regarding Suffolk County workforce housing assistance.  Received one query regarding first-time home-buyers exemption of CPF tax.  Updated Regional Housing Assistance Directory for HAC public forum.  Meeting with Mattituck resident seeking affordable apartment rental.  Meeting with imminently homeless family, provided housing assistance resources.  Meeting with realtor Tom McCarthy re inclusionary zoning requirements.  Amended Housing Registry. Youth Bureau:  Facilitated Youth Bureau Board meeting and disseminated minutes.  Facilitated Youth Advisory Council meeting with Dr. Melvyn Morris to plan environmental and Earth Day community service activities.  Coordinated macaroni and cheese dinner initiative for the homeless for John’s Place at Mattituck Presbyterian Church.  Further discussion with Robyn-Berger Gaston of Family Service League re development of training opportunities to be sponsored by Youth Bureau.  Continued with development of “Job Corps” workshop.  Continued coordination of Community Service Forum and Job Fair.  Meeting with North Fork Alliance.  Attended two meetings of East End Partnership for Youth (EEPY.)  Meeting with Dr. Carolyn Peabody, Stony Brook University, regarding upcoming EEPY community meeting on “mapping community assets.”  Meeting with Greenport High School students regarding implementation of Earth Day initiatives.  Meeting with Gwynn Schroeder, Legislator Krupski’s office regarding Youth Bureau initiatives. Comprehensive Plan:  No report. Economic Development:  Attended North Fork Promotion Council meeting regarding support and collaboration of cultural and economic institutions for 375 anniversary events.  Continued planning of Economic Development Committee Business Development Workshop on Commercial Fishing and Aquaculture, confirmation of speakers, etc. Finalized copy of advertisement and flyers.  Discussion with Matt Hetterich, Utopia Home Care regarding utilization of Peconic Lane Community Center for instruction for home aides. They are still awaiting approval from NYS Dept. of Health. Community Development:  Preparation of Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for Suffolk County Community Development office.  Review of Community Home Improvement Program policy from 1984. With North Housing Alliance, meeting with Town Board to request exception of funding limit for specific very low-income resident.  Investigated complaint of senior citizen who claims that work was not completed for bathroom renovation—contractor submitted documentation that work is complete.  Preparation of vouchers. Executive Safety:  Facilitated site visit of Glatfelter Public Practice for routine risk control survey regarding fire safety for Town buildings (Town Hall, Police, Animal Shelter, Recreation and Community Ctrs., Solid Waste and Human Resource Ctr.)  Scheduled Executive Safety Committee meeting. Other:  Scheduled National EAP leadership training for Town Board and distributed DISC profiles.  Discussion with Fran Sladkus of Southold VOICE regarding their request for May shoreline clean-up.  Submitted article of “News from Southold Town” for Fishers Island Fog Horn.  At request of Lloyd Reisenberg, amended Supervisor’s welcome letter on th website to reflect 375 anniversary.  Notified members of Youth Bureau, Housing Advisory Commission and Economic Development of term expirations and interest to remain on committees.  Attended mandatory cultural awareness training.  With Supervisor, attended Suffolk County Supervisors’ Association— discussion included letter to PSEG to limit poles and request of Governor to double CHIPS funding for highway departments due to brutal winter .  Developed Community Notices advertisement for the Suffolk Times.
