Pindar is not preserved land. Duck Walk is subject to easement to PLT; however it appears that event is located within building and parking is located within established parking areas. If this is not the case, PLT should be consulted. Especially if the tasting room is closed to the public during the weddings. The same goes for the other event at Pindar (the birthday party). They clearly have more than 35 parking spaces at that site, so I'm not sure the intent of the new code was to have small parties that can be contained in the existing parking and building be coming in for Special Event permits. I could be wrong. Leslie should consult with the Town Attorneys and Town Board on this. Maybe Dr. Damianos is just trying to make sure he is covered. It occurs to me that the Special Event permit application should probably include more information, including, for wineries, whether or not the building is open to the public during the Special Event since that will impact whether they will exceed their parking.
