However, as age and health are making it increasingly difficult for the owners to access their boat from the top of the basin bulkheading, a seasonal ramp and float are proposed entirely within the confines of the boat basin and owner's property to allow for improved access. Installation of a ramp & float inside a boat basin is conforming throughout the Town of Southold and will not create any impacts on the quality or function of the surrounding ecosystem but will remain a preferable alternative to adding a ramp and float outside the basin and into Petty's Pond. That if future operations of the Town of Southold require the removal and/or alterations in the location of the work herein authorized, or if, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, the work shall cause unreasonable obstruction to free navigation, the said Permittee will be required, upon due notice, to remove or alter this work project herein stated without expenses to the Town of Southold.
