SCTM# 1000-69-5-18.6 Zoning District B Location: 465975 NYS 25, Southold This amended site plan is for a proposed 600 sq. ft. addition to an existing porch, addition of an office and bathroom within the existing building, along with a sanitary system and a well on 43.7 acres in the A -C Zoning District, Southold. The area is included and identified as an archeo-sensitive area (MAPINFO GIS-Archeo- sensitive layer). Therefore, it is unknown if the proposed action will impair important archaeological resources at this time. The original site plan was found CONSISTENT with the LWRP however, a recommendation to further Policy 2.2. Protect and preserve archaeological resources by requiring an archeologist be on-site during the excavation of the building foundation and leaching pools was rejected. The amended site plan is also recommended as CONSISTENT with the LWRP with the recommendation of requiring an archeologist be on-site during the excavation of the proposed sanitary system and potentially the porch. The footing details of the porch are not provided and the level of soil disturbance should be clarified. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
