Elizabeth Cantrell Clerk Board of Trustees From: Uhwp@aol.com [mailto:Uhwp@aol.com] Sent: Saturday, January 17, 2015 10:57 AM To: King, Jim; Cantrell, Elizabeth; Nunemaker, Amanda Subject: Permission for tree removal at 90 Oak Ave, Southold Dear Members of the Board, I own the property located at 90 Oak Avenue, Southold which is located on Goose Creek. There is a large black oak tree in the rear of my home which faces the water. The tree is approximately 60' from the high water mark. The tree is quite old and has been drying for the past several years. In the fall of 2013 1 had a professional tree service come and extensively prune and treat the tree in an effort to save it. This past summer season approximately 30 percent of the tree did not foliate and it had very little new growth. Unfortunately, this beautiful tree is dying.] am requesting permission to remove this tree and the stump so that it does not pose a risk to my property, family or neighbors. I have attached photos of the tree as it looked in September of 2014 showing the lack of foliation and severe rot in the main trunk of the tree. Could you 'please forward this to the other board members who's email addresses are not listed on the web site. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
