WHEREAS the Town Board of the
Town of Southold did on the 25th day
February pass. a resolution in accord-
ance with the provisions of Section 103
Subd. 5 of the General Municipal Law,
to authorize the Supt, of highways to
Standardize , on the Waiter,,,,w
FigbUL in the purchase of all trucks of
over 30,000 gross vehicle weight to be
used in plowing snow.
NOW ThERE FORE sealed bids are
sought and requested for the purchase.
of one Model A-S-B-S 300 horsepower
Walter Snow Fighter complete with
Dump Body.
The sealed bids will be received by
the Supt. of Highways of the Town
of Southold, at his office 1n Peconic,
L. I. until 2:00 P. M. March 7th, 1958.
The Supt. of Highways reserves the
right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any defect or any informality
in any bid should it be deemed to be
in the best interest of the Town of
Southold to do so.
The bid price shall be the price deliv-
ered at the Highway Garage in Peconic,
L. I. and shall not include my tax,
Federal, State or Local from which
the Town of Southold is exempt.

stipulated previously in a public advertisement for such bids in accordance with the provisions of
Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law.
A resolution authorizing the purchase of the above named equipment was passed by the Town

business at Coram, Suffolk County, New York, hereinafter called
Vendor and the TOWN OF SOUTHOILD, a municipal corporation located
in the County of Suffolk and State of New York, hereinafter called
the Vendee.
WIITNESSLTH that the Vendor has agreed to sell and hereby does
sell, and the Vendee has agreed to buy and hereby does purchase
from the Vendor the followings
(a) 200,000 gallons of RC -2 and MC -2 asphalt road material,
or so much thereof as the Vendee shall require, heated to
a temperature of 170 degrees fahrenheit to be delivered
to the Vendee at the Vendorts storage plant at Mattituck,
N. Y.
(b) 20,000 gallons of RC -2 and MC -2 asphalt road material,
or so much thereof as the Vendee shall require, heated to
a temperature of 170 degrees fahrenheit to be delivered
at Fishers Island, N. Y., by the Vendor.
The above specified materials shall be delivered to the
Vendee at such times and in such quantities between April �5, 1958
as the Vendee shall specify.
Risk of loss or damage to said materials by fire or other causos
until delivery of possession of said materials to the Vendee shall
be upon the Vendor, and in the event of any such loss or damage:,
this contract shall be deemed rescinded.
The Vendee agrees to pay and the Vendor agrees to accept the
following unit prices for said materials:
1. Materials specified in paragraph

2. Materials specified in paragraph
(b) above . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $.60 per gallon
The purchase price shall be paid by the Vendee to the
endor not later than 30 days from the presentation of each invoice
