NOTICEE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance ,,*uth the provisions of Section ,kU of the General Municipal I Law that ,sealed bids are sought and requested for the purchase of a one- half yard Crawler Tye Crane, with 35 ft. Boom Swivel �yp',e F"aairlead and Rud -O -Matic Tagline Winder. Crane shall be full revolving and fully con- vertible, Anti -friction bearing on all I shafts and in all drums protected by oil seals, Power applied through four i speed transmission, Independent live boom hoist, Hydraulic control with foot brake ratchet, Full vision single man cab. Crawler shall be equipped with flat forged 20" treads. A one-half yard Dragline Bucket shall be included in the above price. A Model 150 P. & H. one-half yard truck crane must be taken in trade as Part payment of the purchase price. The sealed bids will be received by the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold, at his office in Pe - conic, L. I., N. Y. until 2:00 P.M. April 4th, 1955, at which time they will be opened and read aloud in public. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of 5 per cent of the bid made payable to the Town of Southold. The check will be returned at once if the I bid is not accepted. If a bid is accepted the successful bidder will enter into a contract with the Town of Southold within 5 days. The Superintendent of Highways reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive e,ny de- fect or any informality in any- bid should it be deemed to be in the best 'interest of the Town of Southold to do SO. The bid price shall be the price de- livered at Peconic Garage of the High- way Dept. of the Town of Southold, and shall not include any tax, Federal, State or Local from which the Town Is exempt. The fencing shall consist of 1i inch wood lath, 4 feet long, spaced 2 inches apart. The lath shall be bound by 5 twisted double strands of 121 gauge galvanized wire spaced equidistant along laths. The fence shall be stained red. The laths shall be furnished in rolls of 100 lineal feet each. The price will be $14.81 per 100 foot roll.
