Continued working on content of PowerPoint presentation for HAC public forum on affordable housing.  On behalf of Supervisor and upon review of Town Attorney, wrote letter for support for Initiative for the Community Land Trust of Southold.  With Stephen Kiely, Heather Lanza and Mark Terry, meeting with prospective developer Frank Scarola who is considering withdrawing affordable housing condominium development because of perception that Town residency requirement could be perceived as violation of fair housing laws.  Review and approval of two applications for the First-time home-buyers exemption of CPF tax.  Meeting with Paul Pawlowski regarding discussion of modifications to his proposed site plan for apartment complex.  Impromptu meeting with several individuals who resided in the house that burned down on Route 25 in Southold, provided resources of Sister Margaret Smythe of North Fork Spanish Apostolate and Suffolk County Emergency Services.  Amended Housing Registry. Youth Bureau:  Facilitated Youth Bureau Board meeting and disseminated the minutes. Dr. Larry Weiss of Family Service League discussed mental health initiatives on the South Fork, some that could be replicated on the North Fork.  Facilitated Youth Advisory Council meeting with Dr. Melvyn Morris to discuss and plan Earth Day community service activities.  Facilitated “Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service” for January 19, 2015. Over 50 volunteers participated in the event for 11 service organizations.  Facilitated documentation for Family Service League and Southold Police Department’s Juvenile Aid Bureau to Suffolk County Youth Bureau.  Attended East End Partnership for Youth meeting.  Attended Suffolk County Youth Board Coordinating Council meeting in Hauppauge. Disseminated minutes. Comprehensive Plan:  No report. Economic Development:  Facilitated Economic Development Committee (EDC) meeting and disseminated minutes.  Assisted with Business Development Workshop discussion of Viticulture and Agriculture industries, over 25 participants.  Developed copy for North Forker advertisement for EDC. Community Development:  Follow-up with various Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) recipients for submission and preparation of vouchers (e.g. North Fork Housing Alliance, Habitat for Humanity.)  Meeting with Jeff Standish and Nancy Foote regarding outstanding CDBG projects (connectivity of Peconic Lane Com. Ctr. and Rec. Ctr, mobile ramps for seniors, etc.  Preparation of vouchers. Executive Safety:  Coordinated and scheduled site inspection for Glatfelter Public Practice for routine risk control survey regarding fire safety for Town buildings, had to reschedule due to winter storm Juno. Other:  Further discussion with the National EAP regarding the development of a mandatory cultural awareness training.  Attended the Anti Bias Taskforce meeting to update members about the Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service.  At request of Justice Evans, submitted article of “Southold News” for Fishers Island Fog Horn.  Received one citizen request via website requesting traffic study at Kenney’s Road and Soundview Avenue. Referred to Transportation Commission.  Meeting with Tim Caufield regarding possible lease to tenant residing in property bequeathed to Peconic Land Trust.  Interviewed Greenport high school graduate, Erin Creedon, SUNY Geneseo junior who expressed interest of possible summer internship.
