WHERE APPLICATION IS MADE PURSUANT TO SECTION 104.10, SUBDIVISION 3, OF THE LOCAL FINANCE LAM, A COPY OF

FI^ IONS FOR FORD 4610 & RIGH DL MOTT IWERSTATER
ENUM., Diesel, 3 cylinder, 201 cu.in., producing a gross horsepower of 59 and
a net flywheel horsepower of 56 and a maximum net engine torque of 156 lb. ft.
at 1200 RPM. The engine shall have a pressure lubrication system and include
a replaceable element, 300 hour, 1 quart oil filter. The electrical system
shall include a 12 volt, 128 amp hour battery and 32 amp alternator.
TRANSMISSION: Shall be a dual range with full synchronization. It shall
provide 8 forward and 4 reverse speeds.
TIRES: 16.9x24 T3 (diamond) tread rear tires filled with calcium chloride
solution. 7.50x16 rib front tires.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM: Tractor shall have a built-in and enclosed live hydraulic
system, with dual levers to control position and draft. The single acting
draft control and 3 point hitch shall function from a 8.5 GPM pump at 2100 PSI.
A set of lower linkage stabilizers shall be installed.
STEERING: Power assist steering shall be included.
CLUTCH: Heavy duty dry disc with a drive clutch of 11 inches controlled
through a single foot operated foot pedal. The power take -off shall be the
independent type.
BRAKES: Fully enclosed wet disc foot brakes operated with a latch for
independent or simultaneous operation and a parking brake latch shall be
provided. An independent hand operated emergency brake shall be included.
The brake system provided must comply with the Construction Safety Act of
1969.
ACCESSORIES: A two post FOPS and seat belt shall be included.
SPDCIFICATIONS FOR NMT INTERSTATER FLAIL MOWING SYSTEM RIGHT SIDE
The system shall consist of one right side mounted 74" flail mower.
The side mounted mower has a minimum cutting swath of 74" and a maximum
of 36 pairs of knives. It shall be mounted between the front and rear _

flashing safety lights, axle, with 3 point hitch, lower link
stabilizers, 7.50x16 multi -rib front tires and 16.9x24 R3
rear tire with 2 post ROPS and seat belt.
MOTT Interstater Mowing System with right side 74" flail
mower hydraulic drive, heavy duty roller, coarse cut rev-
ersible knives, front mounted pump with reservoir and cooler,
hydraulic lift and tilt with float, paralled curb lift, trans-
port lock and rear trash deflectors.

Note: A demonstrater mower (186 hours) is currently
available with a full warranty and include all new knives
and are installed on a New Ford 4610 tractor.

SPECIFICATIONS: Hydraulic Side tIounted Rotary
Mower for Tractor Nountina.
A-1 It is the Purpose of these specifications to describe a fully hydraulic powered
rotary mower which can be mounted on the side of a tractor and used for mowin` grass,
weeds, hedges, shrubbery, tree foliage, brush, etc. All parts shall conform in strength,
quality of material, and workmanship to what is usually provided by the industry in general.
A-2 The intent of these specifications is to outline a side mounted hydraulic rotary
cutter. Powever, for any unit to be considered, it must be so constructed as to receive
a 5 ft. 9 in. or larger hydraulic sickle bar mower, and further, it must be so constructed
that it will receive"a flail cutting head and a ditch cleaning head. These sickle bar
cutter, flail cutting and di` -ch cleaning heads are expressly excluded from, and are not a
part of these specifications: however, they must be commercially available and be fully
interchangeable with the rotary cutter so that they may be purchased at a later date.
A-3 The manufacturer shall Guarantee against defective workmanship and material for a
period of 60 days.
A-4 At full horizontal extension it shall be capable of trimming hedges and shrubbery
on a vertical and horizontal plane.
-5 Each mower shall be painted with one coat of metal primer and one coat of yellow
paint.
A-6 For any offer to be considered, all items must be of a standard production config-
uration and he available to all in the common market place, and not a product that is
modified for hid purposes.
CONSTRUCTION:
B-1 The machine shall consist of a ?oast which can be mounted to the tractor frame
approximately midway between the front and rear wheels on the right side. An ARM shall
be pinned to the mast to permit vertical movement. At the end of the arm, a rotary mowing
attachment shall be mounted (n a rotating head, It shall be operated hydraulically by
means of a system of lifting cylinders with power provided by the tractor's hydraulic pump.
B-2 The cutter shall be capable of hydraulically swinging forward and rearward to
facilitate mowing operations around posts, etc.
B-3 The machine shall be equipped with a breakaway system that will permit the arra and
cutter assembly to breakaway forward or rearward when the cutter meets an obstruction►
This breakaway device must be fully hydraulic with springs, etc., specifically excluded.
B-4 The rotary cutter shall he driven by an oil motor which shall be reversible.
A-5 The rotary cutter shall cut a 66 inch swath, and shall be equipped with two swinging,
`sigh carbon, heat treated, steel cutting; blades. Each blade shall be no less than 3/4 inch
hick and shall be a minimum of 5 inches wide at the most narrow point and shall be no less
'han 25 inches lone. Each blade shall he flat and sharpened on two cutting edges so that it
may be reversed (turned over) to provide an additional cutting edge.

Each blade must be attached with a heat treated steel bolt, or pin, of not less than
1 1/2" diameter, and further, said blade must be free to swing on said bolt or pin.
The rotary blade support mechanism must he attached to a main drive shaft that must be
supported,on each end,with tapered roller bearings. To insure sufficient strength, this
drive shaft must he a minimum of 3 inches in diameter.
B-6 The mower shall be designed so that the rotary cutter may be operated in any position
from vertical to 60 degrees below horizontal. Further, the arm, or attaching device, must
be designed so that it will 'lift the cutter a minimum of two feet to allow the cutter to
operate over highway curbs, etc.
B-7 The arm, or attaching device, shall be operated by means of a hydraulic cylinder.
R- 'P The rotary cutting head shall be positioned by a hydraulic cvlinder and linkage
providing a minimum of 150 degrees travel to said cutting head. For safety reaons, springs
are specifically excluded, for this purpose.
B-9 The tractor shall be equipped with a PTO drive coupling to power the mower's 2
stage hydraulic pump.
B-10 The mower shall be equipped with all hydraulic control valves and all the hose
assemblies necessary to complete the mower installation. The mower shall also be equipped
with a hydraulic oil tank of no less than 42 gallons.
In order to insure an adequate source of spare parts, etc., only mowers that are manufactured
in the United States of America will be considered.

SPECIF!QATICNS FOR FORD 4610 & RT SIDE MOTT I=STAITR 6
ENGINE: Diesel, 3 cylinder, 201 cu.in., producing a gross horsepower of 59 and
a net flywheel horsepower of 56 and a maximum net engine torque of 156 lb. ft.
at 1200 RPM. The engine shall have a pressure lubrication system and include
a replaceable element, 300 hour, 1 quart oil filter. The electrical system
shall include a 12 volt, 128 amp hour battery and 32 amp alternator.
TRANSMISSION: Shall be a dual range with full synchronization. It shall
provide 8 forward and 4 reverse speeds.
TIRES: 16.9x24 T3 (diamond) tread rear tires filled with calcium chloride
solution. 7.50x16 .rib front tires.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEyl: Tractor shall have a built-in and enclosed live hydraulic
sys{-em, with dual levers to ccntrol position and draft. The single acting
draft control and 3 point hitch shall function from a 8.5 GPM pump at 2100 PSI.
A set of lower linkage stabilizers shall be installed.
STEMING: Power assist steering shall be included.
CLUTCH: Heavy duty dry disc with a drive clutch of 11 inches controlled
through a single foot operated foot pedal. The power take -off shall be the
independent type.
BRADS: Rally enclosed wet disc foot brakes operated with a latch for
independent or simultaneous operation and a parking brake latch shall be
provided. An independent hand operated emergency brake shall be included.
The brake system provided must comply with the Construction Safety Act of
1969.
ACCESSORIES: A two post BOPS and seat belt shall be included.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR MOTT IN' ERSTATER FLAIL MOWING SYSTEM RIGHT SIDE
The system shall consist of one right side mounted 74" flail mower.
The side mounted mower has a minimum cutting swath of 74" and a maximum
of 36 pairs of knives. It shall be mounted between the front and rear
wheels in easy forward view of the tractor operator and shall have a mini -
operating range of from 4" below to 14" above the ground.
Miniimim angular gperating range of the cutter unit shall be, in the �cwest
positions from45 down to 70 up and in the highest position from 10 dawn
to 90 up (vertical) and at all angular positions between these ex-=emes.

The mower shall thus be capable of cutting raised areas over curbs up to 14" high
and also in a raised vertical position for trimTdng overhanging bushes, shrubs,
and the like.
Hydraulic power for the operation of this mower shall be provided by a separate
front pump which is part of the mower system and shall be completely independent
of the tractor hydraulic system.
The solenoid electrical control circuit shall include an adjustable tilt shut-off
switch mounted on the mower unit, so that the motor will be automatically shut-
off when the mower is raised (tilted) to a pre-set operating limit - such as when
raising the mower for transport.
A heavy tubular type bumper shall be bolted to the mower paver unit mounting
brackets and shall be positioned well forward of all power unit and drive com-
ponents and shall serve to protect all such components trcm damage that could
result from collision with walls, fences, posts, trees, etc.
Width of cut 74-5/8" wing unit
Height of cut - On roller 3/4" to 6" with 3/4" increments.
Standard Features
Unitized cutter housing and main frame construction with full span H.D. wall
tubular torque members front and rear.
Skids at each end of cutter housing with replaceable wear. plates.
Fender Bars: Positioned at each end of mower. Toshield the structure and final drive
Roller: Full span 6" diameter tubular steel with forged steel contoured ends
integrally welded thereto, mounted directly behind the lire of cut for close con-
trol of cutting height.
The Power Train
All Shielded Drive: Includes shields on Universal Jointed Drive Shaft, housing for
Output Drive Shaft & ,''oupling & guard over final Belt and Pulley drive.
Gear Box: Rated at 60 HP continuous (90 HP intermittent) operation. Equipped with
hardened, cut tooth, forged steel gears, hardened shafts & tapered troller bearings
Designed for completely sealed clean operation (venting not required).
Automatic Belt Tensioning System: Maintains proper belt tension automatically for
continuous peak operating efficiency throughout the life of the belt with no need
ever for any manual adjustment.
Drive Belt: A single 'C' section V type belt of special internal construction de-
signed to withstand the reverse bending of the MXT drive system while at the same
time providing a longer service life than could be exrNX--cted from a V belt of
standard construction.
The Cutting Unit System
Cutter Shaft: Large diameter heavy walled tubular construction with knife hanger
lugs integrally welded thereto in a patented INHFRENT DYNY-ZlICALLY BALLNCED pattern
fcr high steeu vibration free operation with any of the MOTT knife styles. Design
eliminates need for or use of balance weights.
Cutter Shaft Exchange: Life time quarantee to exchange the cutter shaft if ever
