Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 615 of the Laws of 1893 of the State of
New York and Chapter 404 of the Laws of 1952 of the State of New York and in accordance
with the resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Southold adopted at a meeting

for the issuance of this permit does hereby release the said Board of Trustees and the
Town of Southold from any and all damages claims for damages or suits that may arme or
occur directly or indirectly as a result of any operation carried on under and pursuant to this
and will at his own expense, defend any and ali suits which may be brought by third
as a result of any operation carried on pursuant to or in accordance with the terms of
this permit, and assume full liability with respect thereto to the complete exclusion of
said Board of Trustees and the Town of' SOuthold.
THIS PERMIT is subject to the following terms and conditions:
i. That there shall be no unreasonable interference with navigation as a result of the
work herein authorized.
2. That there shal be no interference with the right of the public to pass and repass
along that portion of the beach between low and high water mark.
3. That the work shall be subject to the supervision and approval of the said Board of
Trustees or its agents.

Supervisor Martocchia:
1. Receipt of a'letter from the Fleet's Neck Property Owners
Association, Inc., Cutchogue,~ New York opposing the proposed establish-
menthol a restaruant on West Creek Avenue, Cutchogue, There will be
a hearing on this proposal and they will havean opportunity to voice
5heir objections.
2.Receipt of a letter from Stanley V. Becker requesting
consideration as a ~mmer police officer again this year.
On motion of Justice Surer, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was
RESOLVED that Stanley Becker, M~ttituck, New York, be and he hereby
is appointed as a summer police officer at begin work the.last week
of June through September 6, 1977 at $3.50 per hour.
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Suerrvisor Martocchia, Councilman
Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.
Thir resolution was declared duly adopted.
Supervisor Martocchia:
3. Receipt of a letter from the Southold Town Fire District
Officers Association requesting that the town delay any action on
establishing a fire code for the Town of Southold as the New York
State Fire Code is presently under study and they would like time
to review any changes that may be made.
On motion of Councilman Homan, seconded by Councilman Rich, it w-as
RESOLVED that the Town of Southold participate in the dredging
project at Boatmen's Harbor Marina on a fifty-fifty basis, t~tal.
town participation.not to exceed $475.00 prOvided the necessary
permits~have been obtained by the Boatmen's Harbor Marina for this
work.
Vote of the Town. Board: Ayes: Supervisor~Martocchia, Councilman
Rich, Councilman Honan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.

On motion of,Councilman Rich, seconded.by Justice Demsrest, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Conservation Adivsory Council members
be and they hereby are to receive renummration for authorized meetings
only in the-amount of'$20.00 per meetin~

This resolution was declared duly adopted.
On motion of Councilmsn Homan, seconded by Justice Demarest, it'wms
RESOLVED .that.the:Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to purchase
seven (7) Rescue Tubes at $32195~each for~use~by the.lifeguards.at

4. Notice from the Department of Army, Corps of Engineers
upon application of A.B.-Rosenbergi Great Neck, -New York to maintenance
dredge at Sterling Creek, Greenport..Objections by May 23, 1977.
5. Notice from the Department of Environmental.'Conservation,
State of New York upon.application of Harvey Vom Lehn, Southold,
for permission to construct a platform attached to bulkheading at his
property on Corey Creek, Southold. Obhections by May 10, 1977.
6. Notification from the.New York State Department of Civil
Service stating that effective July 1, 1977 there will be an 11.7%
decrease in health insurance rates. The town had previously been
raised 33% and 16%; now they are receiving a reduction of 11.7%.
