The operation is to be accomplished through an actuator on the boom arm assembly which contacts an air valve. Through air pressure, a piston must cause the boom control lever to move from the rear position to the hold position -- stopping the boom. The stopping height must be adjustable through a cam in the linkage. Adjustment must be made from inside the operator's compartment from ground level to full lift height. The loader must also be equipped with an automatic positioner which automatically re- turns the bucket from dump position to a preset, adjustable digging angle. The bucket is brought to the preset digging angle by pulling the bucket control lever to the roll- back position. The lever must be capable of holding the bucket in the rollback position by use of spring tension as the bucket cylinder opens. The bucket control moves to the hold position by means of a mechanical linkage connected to the cylinder which trips an - air valve when it reaches the adjustable trigger point. Loader mechanism is to be equipped with metal -to -metal "Rap -out" Loader mechanism to be equipped with an automatic boom kickout which will allow the operator to preset the desired boom stop height. The bucket control moves to the hold position by means of a mechanical linkage connected to the cylinder which trips an air valve when it reaches the adjustable trigger point. Through air pressure, a piston must cause the bucket control lever to move. 4 SPECIFICATIONS AOR: 41t CU. YD. Loader linkage to be lever system complete with bellcrank which pivots in the center. Bucket ram to be one double-acting, having a bore and stroke of 7" x 22", with the power stroke involving the larger piston area to be used for digging, breakout and lift- ing. The smaller piston area or return stroke to be used for lowering and dumping. Loader mechanism is to be equipped with metal -to -metal "Rap -out" Loader mechanism to be equipped with an automatic boom kickout which will allow the operator to preset the desired boom stop height. The bucket control moves to the hold position by means of a mechanical linkage connected to the cylinder which trips an air valve when it reaches the adjustable tribjer point. Through air pressure, a piston must cause the bucket control lever to move. SPECIFICATIONS AOR: 414 CU. YD. Boom arms and lift cylinders are to be mounted at the corners for strength. OVERALL DIMENSIONS The loader must be of a compact design having an overall length of not more than 295" and a ground clearance of not less than 14.5". The loader must have a height to the top of the cab of not less than 11'. The overall width of the machine to be not less than 114". BUCKET Loader bucket must be of the general purpose type having an SAE capacity of not less than 44 cu.yd. with an overall width of not more thati 114". Bucket must also have a bolt -on cutting edge. LOADER MECHANISM Loader mechanism is to be of the bellcrank type. Loader mechanism to have no more than 13 pivot points. All pivot points are to be equipped with internal lip type seals, chromeplated pins and steel bushings. Pivot point lubrication is to be no more than every 200 hours. Loader mechanism to be equipped with heavy single plate boom arms which are to be fab- ricated of high strength steel designed to withstand maximum stress. Boom to be operated by two double acting lift cylinders having a bore and stroke of 6" x 38" with chromeplated piston rods. Loader mechanism is to be equipped with metal -to -metal "Rap -out". Loader mechanism to be equipped with an automatic boom kickout which will allow the operator to preset the desired boom stop height. The bucket control moves to the hold position by means of a mechanical linkage connected to the cylinder which trips an air valve when it reaches the adjustable trigger point. Through air pressure, a piston must cause the bucket control lever to move. SPECIFICATIONS AOR: 414 CU. YD.
