We took it upon ourselves to make some minor repairs, extended an existing cedar walkway to the bulkhead, widened the existing stairs for safety issues and refilled the empty pit back with 8 yards of fine clean sand. We were extremely happy with the results. Being new homeowners in Laurel,we were unaware that a permit was needed to make these repairs. We are now aware of our error and are applying for a permit for the work that was completed. Along with this permit application we would additionally like to add a 6 foot fence along our property line on top of our cement retaining wall to cover the glaring white 6 foot PVC fencing that was installed by our neighbor. This fence will start at the beginning of our driveway running south along our property line and then turn East towards our bulkhead. We ultimately would like to use a decorative lattice fencing to help re-beautify our property and views and also for privacy from the adjoining commercial property of 1900 Great Peconic Bay Blvd. This section of fencing will replace an existing handrail and also be placed on masonry blocks in order to match the height of the neighboring fence. Thank you very much in advance for your consideration and understanding.
