TOWN OF SOUTHOLD This letter is written at your request to certify that the existing sunroom constructed at the above residence was evaluated and based on this visual evaluation, the information provided by the Owner and the design drawings (see attached sealed drawings) is structurally sound and the meets the requirements of the Residential Code of New York State -2003 for the year it was constructed. In addition, the following observations were made; =There is a 6068 sliding door in the sunroom that leads to an open dining and living room, -There is a 2868 door leading to the exterior of the house, -The sunroom does not obstruct or block any egress from a sleeping area, -The support structure consists of grouted cmu (concrete masonry unit) columns along with 6"x6" wood posts built on"12"-diameter x 36" deep poured concrete piers with 2"0" full bearing floor joists spaced 16" center to center built across the support beams and tied to a ledger board. at the existing house structure.
