This contract has been awarded to the Vendor in accordance with the provisions of Article S-A of the General Municipal Law.
A resolution authorising the purchase of this equipment was adopted by the Town Board on April 22, , 19 80

approved by the County Superintendent of Highways, it becomes effective and that upon delivery of the equipment named and its accept-
once by the Town Superintendent of Highways, the Supervisor shall pay for it to the following mannon

It is agreed that the title to said trade-in equipment mentioned at "(1)" above shall remain in the Town until delivered to the Vendor
at the time mentioned, and further that said equipment may be used by the Town until delivered to the Vendor and at such time it will
then be accepted by the Vendor at the value mentioned providing that it is to as good condition as at present, normal wear, teat and
usage excepted. (Strike out(1) and this paragraph if not applicable).
The Vendor guarantees the equipment purchased under this contract against defects of workmanship and material for a period of i
360 days and that it will be delivered in first class condition at Southold Town Highway

The Vendor hereb agrees to the provisions of Section 103-a of the General Municipal Law which requires that upon the refusal of
a person, when calledybe ore a grand jury to testify concerning any transaction or contract had with the state, any political subdivision

public authority, to sign a waiver of immunity against subsequent criminal prosecution or to answer any relevant question concerning

The Vendor hereby certifies that there are no Federal or State taxes included in the above purchase price and that he is the only
intermediary between the manufacturer and the purchaser.

It is the intent of these specifications to describe a complete dump truck

Body;
A brace side rubrail, contractors type, dump body shall be furnished.
Perfection model 344P or equal, size 10' x 7' with 28" sides ,and 38" end height,
6 to 8 cubic yard capacity. Shall be constructed of 8 gauge hi-resistant 18-25
carbon steel with 3" continuous radius between body sides and floor, 3" flanged
top side.rail. Sloped dirt shedder type rubrail each side of body approximately
30 degrees shall be provided. Body shall be of full weld construction. All
vertical welds shall be continuous. Tailgate to be of 8 gauge full weld with a
4" boxed perimeter to help prevent bowing out in any direction. Tailgate to be
fitted with 1-"1 non-protruding top hardware with heavy duty hinges and chains:
Upper tail gate hinges shall not protrude above body side board gussets.
Recessed rear corner top lighting for maximum protection. Minimum 7" boxed
side braces 3 each side of body. A u cab shield shall be provided. Safety
body prop. Interlace sub-frame body design not acceptable.
Lower overhead to be hook type steel casting and forging with no-jump banjo
eye that keeps tailgate chain in selected position.
Minimum of three side braces plus a rear and front corner post on each side
of body, design- to be tapered and flared box design.
Body understructure to have a minimum.of nine crossmembers of eye beam
construction. Eye beam crossmembers shall be gussected to longitudinals and
stress points for maximum strength.
HOIST:
Hoist to be a Perfection Model 825 low mount. Hoist to be an underbody single
cylinder,. double arm lift type with a mounting height of 10-7/8". All
necessary drive parts are to be provided. Hoist shall have a cylinder bore
of 8", a piston stroke of 24", piston area of 50.26 square inches, a piston
displacement area of 1206.24 cubic inches, piston rod diameter of 2-3/4"
Oil Capacity 25 quarts. Hoist shall have a double shear type hinge. Pump
shall be a 20 GPWat 1000 PSI. It shall have a 3 position valve for raise lower
and hold positions. It shall incorporate a flow and speed recognition valve,
that will have free flow in raising a free flow in lowering an empty body
but will restrict the flow when lowering a body with the payload still within
the body. Body and hoist to be of one namufacturer.
LIGHTS: All body lights to meet Federal Safety Standard#108

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with the provisions of.
Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, sealed bids are
sought and requested for the purchase of One (1) New 1980
International Model 2554 Truck, or equal. Specifications for
the above may be obtained at the Office of. the Town Clerk,
Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York.
The sealed bids, together with a non-collusive certificate
will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of. Southold at
the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York until
3: 00 P.M. , April 17, 1980, at which time they will be opened
and read aloud in public. The Town Board of the Town of
Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive
any and all informality in any bid, should it be deemed to be
in the best interest of the Town of Southold to do so.
All bids must be signed and sealed in envelopes plainly
marked "Bid on New 1980 International Model 2554 Truck, or
equal" and submitted to the Office of the Southold Town Clerk.
The bid price shall not include any tax, federal, state or
local, from which the Town of Southold is exempt.

Body:
A brace side rubrail, contractors type, dump body shall be furnished.
Perfection model 344P or equal, size 10' x 7' with 28" sides and 38" end height,
6 to 8 cubic yard capacity. Shall be constructed of 8 gauge hi-resistant 18-25
carbon steel with 3" continuous radius between body sides and floor, 3" flanged
top side rail. Sloped dirt shedder type rubrail each side of body approximately
30 degrees shall be provided. Body shall be of full weld construction. All
vertical welds shall be continuous. Tailgate to be of 8 gauge full weld with a
4" boxed perimeter to help prevent bowing out in any direction. Tailgate to be
fitted with 1-,-�" non-protruding top hardware with heavy duty hinges and chains!
Upper tail gate hinges shall not protrude above body side board gussets.
Recessed rear corner top lighting for maximum protection. Minimum 7" boxed
side braces 3 each side of body. A L cab shield shall be provided. Safety
body prop. Interlace sub-frame body design not acceptable.
Lower overhead to be hook type steel casting and forging with no-jump banjo
eye that keeps tailgate chain in selected position.
Minimum of three side braces plus a rear and front corner post on each side
of body, design to be tapered and flared box design.
Body understructure to have a minimum of nine crossmembers of eye beam
construction. Eye beam crossmembers shall be gussetted to longitudinals and
stress points for maximum strength.
HOIST:
Hoist to be a Perfection Model 825 low mount. Hoist to be an underbody single
cylinder, double arm lift type with a mounting height of 10-7/8". All
necessary drive parts are to be provided. Hoist shall have a cylinder bore
of 8", a piston stroke of 2411, piston area of 50.26 square inches, a piston
displacement area of 1206.2+ cubic inches, piston rod diameter of 2-3/4"
Oil Capacity 25 quarts. Hoist shall have a double shear type hinge. Pump
shall be a 20 GPM at 1000 PSI. It shall have a 3 position valve for raise lower
and hold positions. It shall incorporate a flow and speed recognition valve,
that will have free flow in raising a free flow in lowering an empty body
but will restrict the flow when lowering a body with the payload still within
the body. Body and hoist to be of one namufacturer.
