In order to file this, the following are needed: 1- Completed template (this has been attached to the email along with a sample template to help assist you in filling it out) 2- Copy of the latest deed to this property 3- Stamp approved plans from the Board of Trustees, write"Exhibit A" somewhere visible on the plan. 4- Blank check for fee to process the addition of the paperwork to your deed. Bring all of these items to the Suffolk County Clerk's Office in Riverhead at 310 Center Drive in Riverhead. Once they have given you the recorded covenants and restrictions, please forward us a copy. Once we obtain the copy, the office can issue the Certificate of Compliance. I spoke with my co-worker, Diane today and I now understand what the$50 fee is about that you originally called for. Someone had already requested a final inspection on your bulkhead;Trustee Michael Domino went out to inspect the work and found that your stairs to the beach were built differently than what your project plan was for. Unfortunately what you or someone for you needs to do is amend the bulkhead permit. To amend the permit is a very easy process;except we need revised plans. If you could call me regarding this, I can explain further. We need to amend your permit before you or your sister files for the Covenants& Restrictions. I have enclosed the latest survey for your reference. I realize that the Board of Trustees conduct a preliminary walk to examine various properties effected by Sandy. Several of my neighbors have applied for bulk heading permits, however I am inclined to use rip rap rock or medium size native stone to prevent further erosion . I believe that it is economical and environmentally, a better solution . Fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet with Alexa Fournier, a Marine Biologist with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, who was reviewing several permits next to my property. She suggested that some type of rock maybe the suitable to prevent further damage to my property. She also took photos of the damage. I am respectfully requesting that you examine the waterfront damage and provide me with guidance as to the feasibility of using some sort of a rock installation to provide further erosion. Prior to returning to my primary residence , I marked the frontage with several bamboo stakes. As a homeowner since the 1950,s in Southold, I would appreciate any advice that is available.
