BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Chapter 92 (Vehicles & Traffic) of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended
as follows:
1. Article IH, Section 92-30 (Stop & Yield Intersections) is hereby amended by adding
Stop Sign on
Miller Road
Jackson's Landing Road

Severability. If any section or subsection, paragraph, clause, phrase or provision of this
law shall be judged invalid or held unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, any judgment made thereby shall not affect the validity of this law as a
whole or any part thereof other than the part or provision so adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional.
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the state.

COUNCILMAN RICHTER: "NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, there has been presented to the Town
Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York on the 27th day of March 2001, a Local
Law entitled, "A Local Law in Relation to adding Stop Signs on Miller Road heading in a
northerly direction at the intersection of West Mill Road in Mattitnck; and on Jackson's
Landing Road heading in a northerly direction at the intersection of West Mill Road in
Mattitnck", now, therefore, be it
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a
public hearing on the aforesaid Local law at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold,
New York, on the 26th day of April, 2001, at 5:00 p.m., at which time all interested persons will be
given an opportunity to be heard.
This proposed "Local Law in Relation to Adding Stop Signs at Miller Road and Jackson's
Landing Road, Mattituck, New York, which reads as follows:

BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:

in the paper. There is no communications.
SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: Thank you. You have heard the reading of the public notice on a Local
Law in Relation to Adding Stop Signs to Miller Road and Jackson's Landing Road in Mattituck, New
York: Is there anyone that would like to speak either pro or con to this Local Law change? Anyone
like to address this in relation to the stop sign? (No response.) If not, I will close the hearing, and we
will move on the second one.
