HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-05/06/1974119 MINUTES BOARD OF SOUTHOLD TOWN TRUSTEES Meeting of May 6, 1974 A regular meeting of the Board of Southold Town Trustees was. held at 7:30 P.M., Monday, May 6, 1974 at the Town Board meeting room, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, with the following present: Alvah B~ Goldsmith, Chairman Douglas M. Robertson Philip G. Horton Frederick E. Gordon George Bird Judith T. Boken, Secretary Also present: L®raine Terry, Loretta Hess, Evelyn Gordon. On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Gordon, it was RESOLVED that the April !, .1974 minutes of the Board of Southold Town Trustees be approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson,.Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. ~ _ .~ On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was RESOLVED that the April 15, 1974 minutes of the Board of Southold Town Trustees be approved as-submitted~ -- Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robettson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon,-Mr. Bird. Moved by Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Robertson, it was RESOLVED that Raymond E. Clempner, Inlet Lane, Greenport, New York, be granted permissio~n to place an offshore mushroom mooring in Gull Pond, in front of his own property on Inlet Lane Extension, Greenport, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5~00~ Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr~ Gordon, Mr. Bird. On motion of Mr. Robertson,. seconded by Mr~ Gordon~ it was RESOLVED that Hener B. Agnew, 200 Arnold Avenue, West Babylon, New York, be granted permission to place an offshore mushroom mooring in Sterling Creek, in front of his own property on Beach Road, Greenport, New York, all mn accordance with the detailed specifications as 120 presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. 'Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED that David J. Verity, Laughing Water, Southold, New York, Be granted permission to place an offshore block and anchor mooring in Corey Creek, near the island off Minnehaha Boulevard, Southold, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as pre presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Got'don, Mr. ~Bird.- On motion of Mr. Bird, seconded by'Mr. Horton, it was RESOLVED that Adam Zaveski, Crittens Lane, Southold, New York, be granted permmssion to plaee~an onshore-offshore mooring in Goose Creek, at the foot of Crittens Lane, Southold, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $5.00. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith~ Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Bird. An application was received from Dick Petry, 193C Cedar Drive, Mattituck, New York;~ requesting permission to place an onshore stake in Mattituck Creek a~e~%a~v~ Mr. Bird will contact Mr. Petry for further information on the location of this mooring. An apptica-ti~n was received~from Richard Olieer, 37F Little Neck Road, Cutchogue, Ronald ~tkinson, Emory Road, Cutchogue, gad Jack An application~wa,s received~from Alfred~V. Roth,~ 220 Cinday Lane~, Mattituck, New York, requesting permission to place an onshore- offshore mooring in Mattituck Creek,at Route 27A2~ Mr. Bird will contact Mr. Roth for further information on the location of this mooring. Application was received from Carl D. Reiter, Southold, New York, requesting permission to dredge approximately 200 cubic yards i~nfront of his property south of Mil% Creek Bridge to remove silt which has washed in the existing boat slip by heavy.rains and high tides and 'storms. The Board will meet at the site on Thursday, May 9th at 5:30 P.~. to inspect the proposed project. On motion-of Mr. Robertson, seconded by M~. Gordon, it was RESOLVED that F~ed Ventrudo, 14'95 Pine. Neck Road, Southold, New York, be granted per~'ission to construct a gaft. by 10 ft.. ramp, ~ ft. by 12 ft. dock, and-4 ft..by20 ft. float, with four pilings, · n Jockey Creek, in front:-of his own prope~rty at Pine Neck Road, Southold, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $19.80. Vote of the Board:~ Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Robertson, Mr. Horton, ~-~ Mr. Gordon,-Mr. Bird. Phillips, Beebe Drive N., Cutchogue, New York, requesting permission to erect a 30 ft. by 6 ft. dock~with six pilings and four mooring piles in East Creek, at the foot of a 75 ft. right-of-way owned by E. Wilson Tuthill.--The Board will inspect the site. On motion of Mr. Horton, seconded by Mr. Bird, it was RESOLVED that Allen T. Schwab, Pine Tree Road, Box 44B, Cutchogue, New York, be granted permission to erect a ~ ft. by 4 ft. dock, 8 ft. by 3 ft. ramp, and 6 ft. by 12 ft. float, with six pilings, in Little Creek, in front of his own property on Pine Tree Road, Cutchogue, New York, all in accordance with the detailed specifications as presented in the originating application. Fee $17~60.- Vote,of'the Board: Ayes: Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. Roberts~, Mr. Norton, Mr. G~rdon, Mr. Bird. -~ The Secretary was instructed to~ advise Mr. Schwab to contact the New York ~tate Department of Environmental Conservation to determine if a permit is required from them, as part of this construction is above high water mark. An application was received from Raymond A. Hiller, Jr., Bungalow Lane, Mattituck, New York, requesting permission to construct a 3 ft. by 24 ft. walkway, 3 ft. by'10 ft. ~ramp, and 5 ft. by 16 ft. float, with six pilings at Deep Hole Creek, in front of his own property on Bungalow Lane, Mattituck, New York. -- Mr. Bird will investigate the'project and report to the Board. ~ Application for Wetland Permit No. 16 by Keith Harris, 265 Freeman Road, Mattituck, New York was received from the Southold Town Board requesting a recommendation by the Board of Town Trustees. On motion of Mr. Robertson, seconded, by Mr. Bird, it was RESOLVED that the BOard of SouthOld Town Trustees re~0mmends approval of Wetland aPplicatiOn~No.. 16 submitted by Keith Narris, as~the area to be filled will in no way i~erfere~With the ecology of ~he a~ea.
