BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: The Southold Town Board hereby elects to provide all of Its ellgible, employees with a retirement Incentlve-program authorize, d, by Chapter 1~?, Laws of 1998. The commencement date of the retirement Incentive program shall be October .3, 1998. The open perlod during ~hich eligible employees may retire and receive the ~ddRlOnal retirement benefit, shall b~ ninety (90} days in length. The actuarial present value of the additional retirement benefits payable pursuant to the provisions of thls local law shall be paid as: one lump sum, or In five annual Installments. The amount of the annual payment shall be detei-iulned by the Actuary of the New York State and Local EmPloyees~ Retirement System, and It shall be paid bY the Town of $outhold for each employee who receives the r~tirement benefits payable under this Ioca! law. 5. This act shall take effect August 15, 1998. Evans SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: The next public hearing is on a "Local Law in Relation to Retirement Incentive". Councilman Murphy will read it. COUNCILMAN MURPHY: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, on the 9th day of June, 1998, a Local Law entitled, '~A Local Law in Relation to Electing a Retirement Incentive as authorized by Chapter ~7, Laws of 1998". Notice is further given that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York, on the 7th day of July, 1998, at 5:05 P.M., at which time all interested persons will be heard. This proposed ~'Local Law in Relation to electing a Retirement Incentive as authorized by Chapter !~7, Laws of 1998" which reads as follows: A Local Law in Relation to Electing a Retirement Incentive a Authorized by Chapter u,7, Laws of 1998 BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: 1. The Southold Town Board hereby elects to provide all of its eligible employees with a retirement incentive program authorized by Chapter u,7, Laws of 1998. 2. Is there anyone that would like to address the Town Board in relation to the retirement incentive, that we are offering our employees, those that are qualified? (No response.)
