Dated: April 28, 1998. Elizabeth A. Neville. Southold Town Clerk." I have notice that it was published in The Traveler-Watchman, and posted on the Town clerk's Bulletin Board. I have no correspondence.. SUPERVISOR COCHRAN; Is there anyone here that would llke to speak in relation to a stop sign? I believe this is up by the Sound by the lighthouse? It is a bad corner, because as you come up traveling north it needs someone to cut down that berm on your right hand side. Have to Ioek at that. Any comments? Yes, Frank? FRANK CARLIN: Frank Carlln. I am not against the sign. You say it is a bad location. Why do you put it on for public hearing? Why not put it on for a resolution, and forget about the public hearing? SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: Frank, we are following the lawful procedure. FRANK CARLIN: Lawful procedure, every sign the town has to have a public hearing on? SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: Yes, you do. Then in order for police officers to enforce it, and give tickets, and we can take it to court, you have got to have the sign there, or the no parking, or whatever. This is the procedure, Frank. This is something we have to do. We would love to have it shorter. We would get home earlier for dinner. Is there anyone else that would llke to address the Town Board on the stop sign up on Soundview Avenue and Lighthouse Road? (No response.) If not, I will close the hearing.
