BY ORDER OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD,
SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK.
Dated~ March 31~ 1998. Elizabeth A. Neville, Southold Town Clerk."
There is an affidavit of publication in the Traveler-Watchman. A affidavit
that it was published in the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board, and there is no
correspondence.
SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: We had requests from some of the kayak people,-
and so on, and so forth. In the past you may get permits by mail, or you
may Purcl~ase ~hem at the booth at the Town Beach~ but it is the feeling
that there are many people that come out here to enjoy what we have to
offer, and they tend to sometime just look for a road end. We would llke
to make permits more available to them, so that they can purchase them,
which would bring income to the town, and rather than down every road
end in town we would be encouraging them into designated areas as far as
parking is concerned. We would like to try this, and see if it allows more
people to take :part in the kayaking, the canoeing, or the bicycle riding.
They come out with their bikes on the cars, and they have to have a place
to put the car while they take the bike and ride around, so we are hoping
this w~ill make this easier for our visitors. Is there anyone who would like
to address the Town Board in relation to this Local Law? (No response.)
If not, I will close the hearing.
Elizabeth A. Ne~/ille
Southold Town Clerk
