COUNCILWOMAN OLIVA: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, on the 2~th day of June, 1997, a Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in Relation to Lot Recognition". What it is, is a change in the Bulk Schedule for the Town of Southold for lot creation- We had problem, because we had originally put the smaller size lot you could have was 20,000 square feet. When people came in to get a building permit for something under 20,000 the Building Department said the lot wasn't recognized. So, we had to go back and change it, and we made it down to A Residential Zone to 12,500 feet, which makes it what it was prior to about 1957. We have amended it, so lots are now legal. I have a notice from Stephen Jones, Director of Planning saying, that the decision is of local determination. This should not be construed as either an approval or disapproval. I have notification from the Planning Board saying the pg 3 - PH Planning Board reviewed the proposed Local Law, and at their Work Session Board is in favor of the proposed amendment. It is signed by the Planning . Bennett Orlowskl. I have an affidavit that it was published in The Suffolk Times, and that it was posted on Judy Terry's Bulleting Board. Thank you. COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: I think that people ought to know that the creation of the lot 12,500 square feet is not something that is going to 10ts that were created at the time under the laws the lots ,were created, and some of them were created back when ,ounded like a lot of land.
