I have an affidavit of publication in The Traveler-Watchman, and that it was posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board, and there's correspondence. Ladies and gentleman, let me say from the onset that I have no opposition to granting property tax relief for Senior citizens with Iow incomes. However, the question must be looked at as a larger issue of property tax relief for all groups that have Iow incomes. Tax relief should be extended from the special interest group of senior citizens to all residents of Southold Town, that are income disadvantaged. At the very least tax relief should be extended to handicapped and disabled home owners, that have Iow incomes. I would urge the Town Board to include disabled and handicapped homeowners in this tax relief local law as part of the tax relief that recognizes all needy groups in Southold Town. Very truly yours, David Corwin. That is it. SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: We've heard the reading of the proposed local law. Is there anyone who would like to address the Board in relation to this local law? Anyone that would speak either in favor or against? Page 3 ED SIECMANN: Ed Siegmann. I'm speaking in behalf of the East End Senior Citizen Council, and Mattltuck Seniors. Since I made my presentation to the Board in the Work Session, and since I don~t hear anybody else speak here I will just be adding to the time of the meeting, if I were to go further into what I had said at the Board meeting. Thank you. SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: Is there anyone else who would like to address this Local Law? (No response.) Hearing none. the hearing is closed. Southold Town Clerk LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE..
