Dowd COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, on the 2nd day of April, 1996, a Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in Relation to Certificates of Occupancy". Notice is further given that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York, on the 30th day of April, 1996, at 8:00 P.M., at which time all interested persons will be heard. This proposed "Local Law in Relation to Certificates of Occupancy" reads as follows: BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: I. Chapter 100 (Zoning) of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended as follows: 1. Section 100-28U~(H) (1) (g) is amended as follows: (g) Copies of certificates of occupancy: twenty twenty-five cents (25¢). II This Local Law shall take effect upon its filing with the Secretary of State. * Overstrike represents deletions. ** Underscore represents additions. I have a letter from the Planning Board signed by Richard G. Ward, Chairman. Dear Mrs. Terry, The Planning Board has reviewed the proposed Local Law in Relation to pg 2 - PH Certificates of Occupancy. The Board has no comment or objection to the proposal to reduce the fee for copies of Certificates of Occupancy from $25.00 to .25. There is an affidavit attesting to the fact, that this was posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board, and also, that it was published in The Traveler-Watchman. That's all. SUPERVISOR COCHRAN: You've heard the reading of the Local Law. Is there anyone who would llke to address the Board in relation to this Local Law on Certificates of Occupancy? It's from $25.00 to $.25 a copy. (No response. ) COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: The reason being that this is by State Law. It can't be anymore than $.25. It's not that we suddenly have too much money.
