A Local Law in Relation to Garbage Penalties
BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Chapter 48 (Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse) of the Code of the Town of
Southold is hereby amended as follows:
Section 48-6C (Penalties for offenses) is hereby renumbered 48-6D
and a new 48-6C is amended to read as follows:
C. Any person, firm or corporation who or which does not pay any
char,qe or fee established in this chapter or who or which violates
any provision of this chapter shall be subiect to a fine not in
excess of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) for each offense. A
separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day
during which a violation occurs or is committed.
II. This Local Law shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State.

SUPERVISOR WlCKHAM: The second hearing of the afternoon is on "A
Local Law in Relation to Garbage Penalties".
COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: "Public Notice is hereby given that there has
been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, on the 27th day of June, 1995, a Local Law entitled,
"A Local Law in Relation to Garbage Penalties". Notice is further given
that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing
on the aforesaid Local Law at the Southold Town hall, Main Road,
Southold, New York. on the 11th day of July, 1995, at 5:05 P.M., at
which time all interested persons will be heard. This proposed "Local
Law in Relation to Garbage Penalties" reads as follows:
