We have proof .of publicatlon from The Suffolk Times, and The Traveler-Watchman, and on the Bulletin Board. There is one piece of communication. Dear Judge Evans, The Fishers Island Fire Department would like to request the Town Board restrict parking on the south side of Whistler Avenue for a distance of approximately 1095 feet running from Equestrian Avenue to Airport Road. On numerous occasions when the movie theatre is in use, Whistler Avenue is barely accessible. Unaccessible during an emergency situation, causing an emergency personnel to be delayed. A worse case scenario, a vehicle and pedestrian accident could occur. If the Town will follow through with this request on behalf of Fishers Island residents. That is all the communications I have. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Thank you, Joe. I'd like to turn to Councilwoman Louisa Evans to give a very brief summary of what this proposed Local Law is so everyone can understand it. JUSTICE EVANS: For those of you who are interested, and maybe couldn't hear, it's a proposal to have no parking on the side of the road where our movie theatre, because it's caused some hazardous conditions when the movie is running, because people are parking on both sides of the road, and should there be an emergency the emergency vehicles can't get through. So, it's a proposal to have no parking on the movie theatre side of the road on Fishers Island. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Thank you. Is there anyone who would llke to address the Board on this resolution, this notice for change in our local Code? (No response.) I would like to declare this hearing closed. Judith T.
