A Local Law in Relation to Shellfish
BE IT ENACTED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Chapter 77 (Shellfish) of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby
amended to read as follows:
1. Section 77-205F (Clams) is hereby amended to read as follows:
Not more than one-~ho~a~b (~;OO0) two thousand (2,000)
H~.~I~ ne~-hard clams may be taken from town waters for
commercial purposes in any one (1) day by and one (1) person.
Two (2) or more persons occupying the same boat may take, in
aggregate, not more than two-thousa~d~ (~7005) four thousand
(~,000) Httl~ n~-hard clams in one (1) day for commercial
purposes.
II. This Local Law shall take effect upon its filing with the Secretary of
State.

SUPERVISOR HARRIS: The public hearing of the evening is on a proposed "Local
Law in Relation to Shellfish". The notice of publication, and verification will.
be read by Councilman Wickham.
COUNCILMAN WICKHAM: "Public Notice hereby given that there has been presented
to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, on the
20th day of May, 1993, a Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in Relation to Shellfish".
Notice is further given that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a
public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road,
Southold, New York, on the 1st day fo June, 1993, at 8:00 P.M., at which time
all interested persons will be heard. This proposed "Local Law in Relation to
Shellfish" reads as follows:

by the Town Trustees.
